If you think you can go for a half hour and leave, you will have to snap your belt and threaten a spanking. 3.5 hours! I stayed for 3.5 hours!! I thought I could leave after 90 minutes, but then my girls pulled a wronski feint on me, split up, and went separate directions. One was practicing being a meterologist with a green screen (8 yr old) while the other was getting wet while building a Hydro Electric generator (5 yr old). They beat their old man down. One would be launching a paper helecopter while the other wanted to digitally disect a pig. To leave, I had to lie and say they were going to close. The introvert in me was glad the overcrowded newness calmed down, but it also allowed me to geek out with my daughters and absent lines. If I was a teen, I'd take a date there... if mini golf wasnt available. Mini golf was always đŸ”„ when i was a teen... or that is what I told myself. đŸ€· For the curious at heart and those wanting screen free interaction, this might be worth your time and money. I just have one suggestion... play with your Littles and pretend you know how to reassemble the human brain. This certainly helped with the development of fond family memories.

My kids (2 & 4) and myself love gateway to science! The water table is their favorite and they also like the area that's blocked off for smaller children. They could easily spend hours here! Here are my gripes after visiting a few times. I'm not sure why there is such a strict limit on having/food drink around. It is a pain to try to drag my kids back to the lobby to get a drink or a snack. Also it is expensive! $9 for a child + adult fee means we can't visit as often as we'd like.

This last week grandparents took the kids here, and the staff told them about how you can get free admission for up to 5 people with a library card. Awesome! So we show up with our library card to get in the last 30 minutes before close and they refused to work with us and made us pay full price. Put us in a terrible mood because we drove all the way there with three kids, not like they’re gonna be cool with us leaving and not playing. They said we had to go to the library and get a pass to get free admission. Cool, BUT, they didn’t tell us that originally, just said with a library card. They should have just honored it, and next time we would have brought the pass. Turned me off from ever coming back. Poor...

I am a Science Olympiad coach and we brought our 7th and 8th grade students here. It was an amazing stop! The kids had a wonderful time being able to interact with the incredible tools and stations set up through the whole place. Each one of the 14 students showed me a different interactive exhibit that they thought was AWESOME! The people who were working were so kind and informative with both the adults in the group and the kids. If you are looking for a great place to stop, 90 minutes to 2 hours is a good amount of time to spend keeping kids busy and seeing it all. I would absolutely recommend it. It was also very clean and well maintained. I would absolutely stop...
