Stadium Sports Bar and The Lodge — Restaurant in Bismarck

Had to eat here because close to my hotel. First time, waitress forgot detail of my order. Second night, waitress completely forgot what I ordered 15 seconds after told. Third time, waiter asked for credit card as soon as I ordered, asked me if I wanted to keep a tab open. I balked (I have a problem with leaving card with staff any longer than necessary!). He said was policy. I said that no one has asked me for it before here. He asked "When?". I said, " The last 3 nights!". He wouldnt budge. It was just me, and I was dressed as a professional. I told him to ring up my order as I would not order anything else. He returned, bit without itemized receipt. I had to ask for it. Owners of this establishment, check this waiter out for credit fraud! Owners, get ridof this credit card tab policy, as this just isn't how credit cards should be handled these days! Owners, if this tab and credit card policy is to be, state so online and on menu, and enforce with all staff not just one! Good is great, love the waffle...

I used to frequent The Stadium Sports Bar & The Lodge because the atmosphere was consistently top-notch, but lately it’s fallen short of those expectations. The food now feels like sub-par bar fare with limited options. Quick lunches during the workday will make you feel sluggish afterward. Drink prices have gone up while the overall experience hasn’t kept pace.

More concerning is the decline in service. An example during a recent visit, I received a mixed drink that was undrinkable; when I politely asked for a replacement, the response from our server was noticeably rude and made me feel like I was in the wrong. Over time the staff have come across as more transactional than welcoming.

I’m sharing this as constructive feedback — the place has real potential and was once a favorite — but until service and menu quality improve I won’t be coming back regularly. I hope management takes this to heart and works to restore what made...

Great hamburger absolutely HORRIBLE service. Came in Wednesday during lunch. 2 stars for REALLY GOOD FOOD but after that is ALL down hill. Bartender had zero personality, I think the only time she smiled was when another coworker came in to sit at the bar to eat and talk about the previous nights drunken excursion. She asked me how everything was after I was almost finished with my burger and the little chitchat I tried while she was behind the bar was like pulling teeth. Being busy doesn't work for me. I have seen bartenders run a bar and a restaurant with more tables and have time to be sociable and being in the industry myself for almost 9 years at one point this crew was way below average. Oh come to think of it, burger and fries over 30 min wait? Ya no thanks. But then again people now don't expect much anymore. To bad because the food was really good. Oh and busy at lunch, get more cooks...
