I was born with two chronic health conditions and science literally tells me to lead a sedentary life. According to them, I can't and shouldn't do anything. It took me time to understand what my conditions were and how to help myself. Knowledge is power. If we don't do different things we won't be able to see different results: this is working on yourself through habits, healthy lifestyles and a lot of effort. I am another person; I go to the doctor because I must continue my checkups, but science is surprised with my case after having numerous cases of patients like me under treatments and seeing that I don't need them. There are MANY things that I couldn't do before and now I CAAAN! Since I've been training, I have improved my health to levels that I didn't think I could reach. I'm proud of myself!
To my Coaches Zak, Carolina and Kevin, THANK YOU for your motivational contribution, support, advice based on experience, and for accompanying me in the process. There is still a long way to go, but I am ready to continue doing...
Read moreI’ve been a part of this CrossFit community for a little over a year now. I can honestly say that I now enjoy working out and challenging myself in my workouts. I love how everyone encourages each other and we cheer for each other during the workouts. Coach Zak makes sure you know how to be successful in your health journey; he makes sure you know how to make healthy food choices, helps you set goals in the gym, and checks in with you periodically to make sure you are meeting your goals! All the coaches make sure to work with everyone since there are different skill levels in each class. The gym will also have different workshops throughout the year so we learn new skills and improve our healthy habits. I was a part of the healthy eating workshop and received personalized nutrition counseling from Coach Amie. I learned new ways to make better choices and how easy it was to put together a healthy meal. I encourage everyone to give this gym a chance, I’m...
Read moreI have been a member of CFCH for almost 3 months now, however, I already feel like a member of the family. I was initially nervous, I had this idea that you had to be an athlete to do CrossFit. That’s where I was totally wrong and wish I joined way sooner. I have already noticed a difference in my strength, form, endurance, mental health and self confidence. Everyone here, unlike other places I’ve tried, is super friendly and informative. The trainers are very knowledgeable and work with you for any accommodations that you may need. It’s not uncommon for a trainer to be taking a class right alongside you as well. If you have been wanting to make a drastic change in your life, no matter what age, size, fitness level, or whatever stage you are currently on in your fitness journey, I highly encourage you at the bare minimum to reach out and ask for more information. You...
