Got into collecting again. First time I've bought cards in a decade plus. Went here for a half of Panini Select hobby box in search of a hit. Ended up buying 7 packs for $40+ tax a pack. I was looking for hits and dude knew it. Figured I'd trade the other cards for maybe another pack or two I had including rookies, premier and prizms. 33 cards out of 35. That U just paid near $280 for. Dude scanned through the cards without even checking levels or rookies. Offered me $15 total for a stack including 10+ rookie variations, inserts and even a throwback kanter jersey card. Decent place for new set drops but HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE trade in value. Made me not want to come back here. After coming home realised the complexity of this set and how the 3 levels and prizms make it very sought after. Dude mos def ripped me off because I was super unaware that other draft picks would still be worthy. Dude paid me $15 in trade for near $260+ of cards in hobby pack pricing, possibly more than that in resell. Thanks for paying next to nothing over taking 2 minutes to tell me what I had. Luckily I didnt sell him a Zion or Ja. Granted he "jokingly" offered me $20 for the Ja Morant purple prizm rookie jersey auto card I pulled....
Read moreI have supported this business throughout my time in the area and will no longer give this company my money. I had a very aggressive and unnecessary experience today in store. A young kid and his Mom were walking around and I asked to look at his binder for fun and share our interests in Pokémon. I picked out a few cards I thought had some cool art and as his Mom was walking back, an employee decided to come start screaming at us stating, "There is not trading or selling in our store. You're essentially poaching business from us. We don't do this here. If I catch you doing this again." This lady made some wild assumptions about our intent and was very rude. For context, this kid did not ever approach the counter stating he wanted to trade with the store nor did I prevent him from doing so. She just assumed he was going to. She also stated the person who deals with Pokémon card trades for the store wasn't even there today, so I'm not sure why she was so angry. Overall, it was a huge overreaction and very unnecessary. There is a right and respectful way to deliver a stores policy and a wrong way. This employee chose the wrong way and has lost my business. The kids mother also said...
