GameStop — Attraction in Boston

The customer service is very poor, lets begin there. I walked in the store and wasn't greeted at all by the one person who was working which happen to be the manager on duty. She was also beyond rude and acted like she didn't want to be at her job. The place had no customers when I walked in ( as always shrug )and so I proceeded with a store trade in for store credi, so I can spend it right back in the store. Tho I was turned away and rejected store credit to make an in store purchase. All because my license expired last week on my birthday. I stated to the manager I'. waiting on my new copy and its covid, so. its taking longer and she then turned away and said sorry as she answered the phone and said nothing I can do.... ( so how does GameStop make money ? ) Last time I checked GameStop made their money from trade ins, pre. orders and subscription to the magazine. Not my favorite... I ordered over 7 preowend games online and picked up five I found at the store and out of all of those they only found 2?!?! Really, half I couldnt get because they were so old they werent in the system, therefore cannot be sold to me and instead will be thrown out?? Totally makes sense right??!? And the others just in no mans land... was in there the night before and the girl said she couldnt find one and when I went back the next day it was right back on the shelf?? I didnt even bother asking for them to look again... That was upsetting esp after my son had his heart set on those games for his bday... only been to this one twice and I was not very happy ... Rather go to dedham (they found all 5 of the preowned games I ordered online there for pick up with no issues!!) Will not be returning to this location unless out...

My local Gamestop has pretty cool workers and since the Downtown Crossing location recently closed it's the only Gamestop location I shop at. I'll buy the newest game here and shop the clearance T shirt rack here and pick up a ton of Marvel Legends figures here simply because Gamestop tends to get them earlier than other stores and their online deals tend to be the best out there! The fact a McDonald's and Pope Eye's Chicken is nearby is also a plus. But this Roslindale store has helped me build my Marvel Legends collection over the years!
