I'm writing about La Taqueria in Roslindale because I think people should try their foods.

First, you can order whatever food you want there. They make tacos, burritos, quesadillas, salads and small cakes. The burritos are thick because they add a good amount of beans and a lot of extra rice in. The tacos are filling and hot, not spicy. The quesadillas are cheesy and gooey. The salads are crunchy and full of many healthy foods. The chips are colorful. Their cakes are great. You can tell the people you order from what toppings you want on your food that they have. My favorite foods are the burritos and quesadillas with black beans, cheese and rice. They have drinks that taste so good. The foods there are the best.

My second reason for going to La Taqueria is the set-up. You can see through the glass what they're making for your food. There are tables next to the window. You can order from your phone and they will bring it or you can do pick it up. There is internet in La Taqueria. The menu is made out of a TV. After someone eats at a table there, they clean the table so you can eat and not get dirty.

My third reason for loving La Taqueria is the location. It is near different stores. If you are hungry you could eat there. It is near CVS and a book store, Dollar Tree, and it is also near a clothes store. There is a parking lot in the back so you can park in there.

I hope you will like it there. Have fun.

I ordered food online from the Hyde Park location this evening at 6:21PM for pick up. When I arrived at 6:35PM I checked in to see if the food was ready (Burrito, Yucca fries and Tres Leche). I didn't leave with my food until 7PM and that was after I had to approach the cashier again to see if it was ready because the counter was full of completed meals to be bagged. I was irritated that my order had been sitting on the counter while a restaurant full if customers watched 4 people (2 cashiers, cleaning lady and food preparer who stopped his job to help them) wipe up a spill at the the juice station and slow moving cashier took her sweet time filling toppings that could be done by the food preparers who by the way were moving fast and completing orders. All the while the phone continued to ring off the hook and no one rushed to pick it up.The cashiers defintely need to learn to prioritze their efforts to serve customers. I never have this issue when the male employers work the registers, only the females, especially the one tonight who seemed too cute to actually exert energy to do her job. Too concerned with fake eyelashes, fake nails and hugs from the cooking staff. I understand these folks are frequently busy however at least get orders out that are ready. This is how you...

I placed an order and I spoke to the lady and told her exactly what I wanted to even clarify that when she got it wrong went to pick up my food got home it was wrong exactly what we talked about and clarified was exactly what was wrong with it I called they tell me to come back I go back to give me a new one it was wrong again. I called back and this time I’m like I just can’t I just cannot again drive back to the place to get another one. All she said was sorry next time you come remind us and will give you a discount. No actually you owe me a whole new item for free, two how are you going to remember who I am. She says I see a lot of faces but I’m good with them I will remember you. No you won’t! When I come back you will say I don’t remember and it’s gonna be a whole big deal just for me to get what’s owed to me. So what they should’ve done is ask for my phone number and my name to keep a record. Obviously they didn’t care enough. This is not the first time they messed up my order either , I have just dealt with it but this last time was annoying especially since what they messed up could have...

If I could give no stars, I would. On 1/14/22 I placed an order via chownow at 6:35pm. My order was estimated to be delivered at 7:43pm. Around 8:05pm I called to see about my order. The associate told me that chownow only gives an estimate and it may take longer. She then proceeds to tell me that she cannot track the driver (a lie as you can call to see how far they are) and proceeds to tell me that the driver will arrive when they arrive. Around 8:30pm, I call back. Now, it says the person is unavailable. I've called over 10× and still received the same message. It is now 9:13pm, I've been charged for an order I never received, I cannot get a hold of anyone from the business, and it is closed. No one has called to apologize, offer a refund, communicate anything whatsoever. The amount of unprofessionalism is unmatched and I will NEVER support this business again. I've also checked outside and my ring to see if I missed the delivery. The proof is in the receipts and I'll be sure to show them once they are open again.

I am disappointed to leave a 2 star review as I've been here a few times and really enjoy the food and the generous portion size, at least with the chimichanga. Today, about half way through the chimichanga, I bit into something hard pulled out half a toothpick. I first felt astonished. Then lucky that I didn't pierce and damage my tongue and mouth. Then grossed out and tried to take comfort in that the toothpick looked snapped rather than chewed on. My last stage was confusion- where did this toothpick come from and how did it get in?! I'd like to go back because I genuinely like the food and I am sure this is a one off. But there was a toothpick...
