🇺🇸#thursday with my friends in @hooverdam_ who is an image synonymous in @travelnevada and @explorearizona . The Hoover Dam is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between the U.S. states of Nevada and Arizona. It was constructed between 1931 and 1936 during the Great Depression and was dedicated on September 30, 1935, by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Its construction was the result of a massive effort involving thousands of workers, and cost over one hundred lives. It was referred to as Hoover Dam after President Herbert Hoover in bills passed by Congress during its construction; it was named Boulder Dam by the Roosevelt administration. The Hoover Dam name was restored by Congress in 1947. Highly recommended to visit and #vivalasvegas...🥳👰🧑‍💼💐🎂🍻🥂🌏 . . . . . #2023 #thursday #thefabiosilva #youtube #tiktok #instagram #facebook #picoftheday #iphone13promax #travelusa #roadtrip #usatravel #travelblogger #roadtripusa #travelgram #photography #instatravel #traveling #adventure #exploreusa #traveladdict #roadtonowhere #livinthedream #hooverdam #hooverdambridge #arizonanevadaborder...

A museum tour you should not miss! We were taken a few floors down where the action happens - where the pistons and pulleys are that convert the water into electricity. It was an amazing experience and a marvel of engineering that was worth every penny.

There's a tour guide who helps the guest understand more about the history of the great Hoover Dam.

A lot of people come here and are happy taking photos of the dam and leave. I recommend purchasing the ticket. Every American will be prouder of this engineering masterpiece.

I also recommend taking the time to walk towards the back of the dam where you can see more of the water of the Colorado River and step foot on the border to Arizona...

What a beautiful place. Free parking are plentiful Paid parking as well if you don't want to park far away. The best place to visit outside of the busyness of the strip. It's fee and you can get a good workout. We drove from the Las Vegas strip to the Dam. What a DAMn beautiful drive! This was out 2nd visit to the Dam and we quite enjoyed it. It's kids friendly and have wheelchair ♿️ access. The Dam is worth seeing even once. If you are planning on visiting Vegas, make the time to visit the Dam. You will not regret it. We set the GPS to avoid highways and toll. took the scenic route and It was only about a 45 minute drive from the strip. We enjoyed...
