A heartwarming story of man’s best friend and just how attached we all can become to an animal. All that you need to know about this story is provided at ground zero in the informational panel and plaque at the site. Most amazing, is how quickly the men worked to properly bury and honor their beloved mascot on the same day he was lost. What is missing from the story is what happened to that poor truck driver that ran over the dog, hoping he made it out alive.

There is shade over here in the morning! Cute story about a puppy that was adopted by the dam workers and grew up during the dam construction project. No mention of the dog's name on the monument placard. The poor dog died one day in a tragic accident (caused by a dam employee) and was buried on the spot by the other dam employees.
