This is one of the best roller coasters I've ever ridden! This is easily the most intense ride you'll find here at silver dollar city. This ride will not be for everybody, but I fell in love with it after my first few rides. The coaster starts with an excellent first drop diving into a ravine. It has awesome airtime on the way down in the back row and once you hit that valley you will slam back into your seat. The first inversion is the least intense moment, but it still has some good float and whip. The twisted airtime hill is very powerful delivering crazy airtime paired with laterals. There are two speed hills on the ride that offer short sustained ejector airtime. The wave turn has awesome sideways airtime that you won't find on a lot of coasters. The finale is the double barrel roll. You get whipped through the first one and then it slows down at the perfect moment for the second to give some great hangtime. It is a short ride, yes, but the sheer speed and pacing of this ride are unbelievable. Many will complain of it's roughness but it didn't bother me that much. I love the feel of wooden roller coasters and doing one with a layout this intense was just pure joy. Do yourself a favor and sit on the non-wheel seats (these are the front row of every car) to get the smoothest ride experience. Also if you happen to be at the park at night, do not skip out on night rides. It is so dark back there and you will barely be able to see where you are going. It is a must do experience. This is easily the best coaster at Silver Dollar City and...
Read moreWorld class coaster. The ride is short but completely manic from start to finish. In this way it's sort of the opposite of Wildfire, which is graceful and elegant, makes you feel like you're flying, while Outlaw is more a nervous bundle of energy that never waits for you to catch up. The restraints are maybe not my favorite, they are lap bars but also have a shin bar so your legs are locked back and you can't put your feet front. But the advantage with that is your upper body is free which is pretty cool for an inverting coaster. If you can try different seats to find which you like best; if you want the most intense ride go for the back and you will get absolutely flung over that uber steep drop. The front is a little more forgiving with the G forces. I do highly recommend the very front seat at least once if you don't mind waiting longer for it, it's amazing having nothing in front of you. The much hyped double barrel roll really is amazing, you slow down considerably as it's slightly uphill and the second roll gives some hang time, very disorienting. This ride often pops up on enthusiast's lists of the best coasters on the planet, and helped boost its creators, Rocky Mountain Construction, to the prominence they enjoy today....
Read moreThis was my first RMC coaster. Some say that it's getting rough and needs to get some I-box track. It doesn't though. When I rode it was super smooth for a coaster, but I guess that it is rough for an RMC. Whatever. Anyway, I liked that it actually felt a bit like a woodie. The first drop is awesome in the back, but didn't love the double barrel roll. It was fine. But since I went in 2020 the trains were half loaded. So it was probably running really slow. Not enough whip and the hangtime was awkward. The wave turn and overbank inversion were also excellent. Just wish I could've enjoyed the park more thoroughly. Branson is far from other cities with major amusement parks. If you are going to Silver Dollar City, go only for that. Give yourself time to enjoy the area as well. Outlaw Run is definitely a must ride at the park. It and Time Traveler are their best rides. The other coasters in the park aren't elite and are either short or...
