Update 10/3/25: we came back excited that it would be fixed and it is not. Immediately all the hair stands up from the static charge and my 4 year old cried when she got shocked by the playground. Same thing up at the spiderweb. We promptly left.
We were excited to check out the new playground. Unfortunately our time was cut super short and we couldn’t enjoy the playground. From the moment you step on the fake grass our hair stood up and we got shocked incessantly. Everyone. Kids and adults. This is also the home of the Payne-Gentry House, which I didn't know existed, so I'll have to come back to tour that! The playground was closed today for construction, but I imagine it's outstanding...
