It’s an ok place. A temple volunteer was bizarrely rude to me and lashing out from nowhere around “don’t you have an education to read the sign?”, so the management needs to monitor who they allow to volunteer if they’re having personal issues with their conduct.
I brought it up and the President got back to me saying the volunteer’s parents abandoned him to raise himself, and he didn’t bother healing his trauma, which he promptly used as an excuse to fly to immigrate to the US to abuse me and other patrons in the name of us making excuses for men’s traumas and accommodating them instead of expecting better. Other than that it’s a pretty standard temple, and I think it’s built itself up as a force within the community.
I wish I had brutally shamed the volunteer. You want to talk about compassion let’s start with me and then we’ll worry about these guys thinking they’re entitled to take their crap out on women. This is not India, and these days I don’t think women there want to put up with their behavior anymore either.
The temple President called to tell me I should have given him a pass for abusing me. That I should have enabled it. It’s like a circus of weak men supporting weaker men. If it was that hard staying in his home town with his mom was the cure. Now I can see why they abandoned him.
I’m sick of these guys thinking I’m available to absorb that for them. #timeisup
Lemme add he called to discuss it instead of putting it in writing. And, as always, everything shady he has to say will always happen 1:1. Watch...
