Seemantham Function in the Temple premises as per Tamil Brahmin style Hello, I am very sorry to say i had a terrible experience yesterday performing Seemantham for my wife in the temple. My requirement to the priest from day 1 was perform all that is needed as per vedic tradition and it appeared that the priest is just there for making money without doing all the required steps. He just kind of tried to cheat me by trying sort of doing the puja and did Ganapati puja and tried to fool me around by taking the word Varuna and Pumsavana and just changing the modulation but didn't quite do the Nandi, Udaga-shanti Japam and Homam etc. He was in a rush and because we are layman and don't have too much knowledge, may be. The whole event was from 9.30-45 am to 11-11.15 am. In between he took a break of 15-20 minutes as he had other appointment to cancel, he said. I have to admit that i was late in reaching the temple from Connecticut, I had to be in the temple sometime around 8-9 am and I reached at 9.20-9.30 am because of the distance and traffic from Connecticut to Bridgewater (115 miles). Normally after performing any pooja you will feel positive vibration...i literally felt so bad and was not able to sleep in the night and have even texted my experience to the Sastrigal himself so he knows that I am not a fool and also told the temple manager Shri Nagabhushan yesterday afternoon after returning home. Just don't want anybody to undergo this kind of experience and lose belief in our practices and culture. This is all after spending close to 500 dollars. I am not taking the Sastrigal' s name as I don't want to create a bad goodwill for him in the forum but just want the temple to take necessary precautions going forward and don't want anybody else to be a...

This temple is very very powerful. .I go here almost everyday as i stay nearby...we can spend whole day just staring at swamy...NOW as some one said every good has a dark side to it which is the CANTEEN of this temple...I was a volunteer at the canteen several times but now a days there is no checking on people before letting them step on to serving food, some people eat while they serve.

Some people are so so very very rude as if they are running an extremely commercial store or perhaps some sort of a homeless shelter, common this is in a temple premises you can't be abusive and use rigid words and treat people like beggars.

I am surprised and sad to see declining of quality of food and maintenance of this place.

They are such bad that some volunteers don't understand how to treat a 3 years old child taking away lid for chutney from her as she picked 5 lids for a 2 orders food( 1 order of idly 1 order of vada)..If you are so concerned keep it simple you pack chutney and sambar and give instead of making it a begging scenario.

Do we have to be that rude what values we are teaching to the community...

Very very POOR maintenance of Canteen on the contrary look at every other religious place around Jersey they first teaches basic Empathy by example not By Ruddeness...we go to other hindu temples around, the gurudwara in baskingridge too, every single place keeps at forefront except this temple canteen.

There were some good volunteer managers that ran this canteen few years ago but now it's commercial to the CORE

Like Govinda says He might be counting the mistakes till it reaches a finite...

Sincerely I wish Balaji uses his power to help people change their...

Very nice temple. Must visit place. The temple is big from outside as well as inside. It has all the gods inside. This is famous in this area. The Lord Venkateswara Swami looks so beautiful. People from all places visits this place.

They have placed all the gods statues in a right place. Staff are maintaining this place very well and it can really be appreciated.

They've space for footwear and we can keep all of our footwear there and clean our legs with water before making darshanam. Darshanam is free.

The official website gives detailed timing of temple opening and closing. They've timings for different Puja as well.

The prasadam is so tasty and as usual queue is followed for the same. Canteen is so awesome. It attracts so much of crowd as the items were cheap and delicious. We can get almost all basic south indian food like Idli, Vada, Dosa, Pongal, Mirchi Bajji, Vegetables Biriyani etc. They provide Samabar, Coconut Chutney, Tomato Chutney. Sambar and Chutney are free unlimited and so tasty. People will definitely love them. Starting from bill counter, we've to follow the queue in canteen to get the food. Dosa will take some time to prepare so they'll give token. Once they announce the token number we can get dosa. Any extra remaining food can be taken to home. They'll give boxes as well.

Parking is free here. The temple entrance will not be like normal temple entrance as we'll have in India. The door is like normal door as we've in house.

Once we come out from canteen or temple we can take some cool pictures infront of the temple near water fountain. People do Pooja for new vehicles here. They've seperate parking lot for...

Sri Venkateshwara Temple at Bridgewater is always a deeply spiritual experience. The temple is well-maintained, spacious, and designed to allow visitors to feel at peace as they connect with their faith. The architecture and serene surroundings create a tranquil atmosphere, perfect for prayer and reflection. The priests at the temple are friendly, knowledgeable, and provide detailed guidance during rituals and poojas. They are respectful of individual preferences and ensure that each devotee feels welcomed. Their dedication to the services, from small personal prayers to larger ceremonies, truly adds to the spiritual essence of the temple. In terms of facilities, the temple has a canteen that serves traditional South Indian food, which is simple yet flavorful, giving a true taste of home. The meals are well-prepared and reasonably priced, adding a comforting touch to your visit. The cleanliness and organization of the dining area are commendable. One of the most appreciated features is the ample car parking space, which makes it very convenient for visitors, especially during busy festival times. The parking is well-organized, and there’s enough room even on weekends and during major events. The temple also offers other services like cultural programs, and spiritual counseling, making it a community hub beyond just a place of worship. Overall, Sri Venkateshwara Temple provides a complete experience—spiritually uplifting, culturally enriching, and well-equipped for all its visitors. Definitely worth visiting for anyone looking for a divine experience in a welcoming environment!

One of the best temples in USA especially in the Northeast. Lord venkateswara’s temple with many other deities. Very positive atmosphere, peaceful and powerful place. Poojas are done according to that day’s schedule. Priests are helpful in clarifying questions. All pooja services are done at temple like archana, harathi, abhishekams, satyanarayana swamy vratams, kalyanams and car poojas etc; Very well maintained temple, disciplined is expected from devotees in the temple. Many volunteers work to keep the temple premises clean and calm. They provide so many facilities to the devotees from rental halls( for traditional events) to different cultural programs. Plenty of parking spaces. They have a delicious prasadam service at Canteen. You can’t stop your self going to the canteen if you taste the food once. Very hygienic and delicious. No onion, no garlic. To-go only for now. I admire this temple and the management for the wonderful maintenance and facilities even during pandemic times. They have a decent selection of items at gift shop near the entrance. Feel blessed every-time we visit this place.
