I had a 9AM appt w/Safeway for tire rotation & alignment today & was told that it would take 3 hrs. I never received a call, so I call them at 12:40 PM and the explanation was that when the guys got back from lunch they’d finish the alignment. I don’t believe it takes all morning and then some to do a tire rotation and alignment so I walked from my home to Safeway to pick up my car. Upon arrival I was casually told that I was sent a text.but now it’s 1:45PM so I paid the bill, and I said I would not come back again. Whoever this guy was at the desk asked me who I normally go to for service and I said Herb Chambers. He asked why I didn’t go to Herb Chambers, which is really none of his business. I said that the price was less but it was really a matter of convenience for me. He tried to make a point by arguing with me and telling me that this is 2023 and it’s Friday. He’s had more customers today than just me. This man is bold and insulting, I asked him if he had reset the car so that the air pressure light wouldn’t come on. He told me that if the light comes on. I can go back to Herb Chambers and have them reset it. I told him Safeway would reset it and he said that I could call and make an appointment for that !! This guy was rude and sarcastic. I told him at least Herb Chambers treats me as an important customer. I will never go back to Safeway in Bristol again ! Very unprofessional and unbusinesslike !!! I will be sure to tell the person that referred me to Safeway of my experience today !!! It is my intention to make a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Read moreI felt the need to further explain my original review and add more detail about what actually happened. I called this Safeway place to ask what happens if I noticed that there's any damage done to my vehicle from them towing it. Who would be liable for it? The lady on the phone said that if there was any damage it should have been brought up before I left the premises. Mind you, it was utter chaos at that place and I just wanted to leave. I also wasn't told by anyone that I needed to do a full inspection of my car before I left and it wasn't written on anything, not even on the receipt. So I told her I don't understand, it wasn't stated to me and it wasn't written anywhere. She told me if I didn't like her response than to take it up with the Bristol police department. Which I did (the only good advice that was stated the whole conversation). After calling the police department I was told that they would be liable for any damage even if I noticed them after the fact I've already left. So they out right lied to me in hopes of covering their own butts. I just wanted to let everyone know just in case, because there is always a possibility when forcefully moving someone's car especially in the middle of the night that something can go wrong. Recently my 2024 Kia was involved in an accident the whole front end was completely smashed, my insurance company saw pictures of it and immediately considered it totaled and was fighting to have us remove it from there, not only did Celeste help us to get an insurance adjuster there to look at it and tell us it was fixable! Had we removed it from safe way there is no question in my mind insurance would have said it was a complete loss!! Not only did the amazing people at safe way fix are car but they worked with us on every aspect from rental ( which they gave us a fantastic price for) to repairing are car back to stellar condition it’s so good to know there’s still honest and caring businesses out there we were treated like family instead of being taken advantage of I would recommend safe way for any and all your car repairs or needs!!
