The friendly and kind volunteers make every age of visitor feel welcome and important. The museum is a great mixture of hands-on experiences, artifacts, and reading of the local history. Our children loved climbing through the caboose on sight and the phone booth while the adults loved reading about the past businesses in town and seeing the development of our neighborhood and community through time. Read moreI never realized that this was also the same exact train Depot where Gene Autry worked as an telegraph operator, and also where he was first discovered as an artist. They even have the same piano he was taking lessons on in there. Plus history of American Servicemen and how the depot played a part during war times. A lot of history in this place overlooked. Read moreThis place is fantastic! So much history, the staff are wonderful and welcoming. This museum is a must see! Right off the tracks in adorable downtown Bristow. You can even tour the caboose with the kids (of any age) and there’s some really great photo ops.
