La Patrona Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Bristow

I am only giving one star because I can't give less than that. I went there with my kids. I asked if citrus was used in their guacamole and stated that I am allergic to citrus. I was assured that it is made fresh and had no citrus. So, I ordered their taco salad with chicken. I had to look under all the lettuce to find the meat. I make a habit of looking through my food due to my allergies. After one bite of the chicken, I had an immediate allergic reaction. I asked if there was any citrus used in making the meat and explained that I was getting sick and having a reaction. Right away, they were fast to defend their food and had NO regard or concern for my health. I had to go to the bathroom and was physically sick from the allergic reaction. When I returned to the table, the check was there with my meal deducted. We received no more service or any interactions from the staff until I paid the bill for my kids' meal. Not once was I asked if I was okay or anything. The complete lack of concern for a customer was absolutely a testament of the character of those working there. I would NEVER recommend...

Ok so I all ways start a place with 5 stars, and then take notes on things as I eat so I can make a fair review.

If you say you open at 11 am then your workers should have all ready been there 30 mins to an hour before this time to set everything up and get ready for people to come in.

The cups are a good size and I enjoyed the radio station that was on.

The chips are very thin and can't really hold any kind of food, the plates was very hot but the food was only lukewarm. You need to have more tortillas for each plate of food.

Having to get up to pay with out having the check in hand was very uncomfortable for me. I would prefer to have the check at the table so I know how much cash to have ready with out having to dig at the pay window.

The severs was nice but did not see much of them do them doing things that should have been done before the open sign was on.

The food was ok but the presentation on the plate needs work.

Based on this visit I would probably would never...

If you have ever wondered what Taco Bell would be like as a sit-down restaurant, this place is for you!! The enchilada meal I ordered came with cheddar cheese sprinkled on it?! They also chose to put cheddar cheese on the taco?! The in-house, fried taco shell was still soft and covered in grease. Aside from the salsa, everything was lacking in flavor and was rather bland. The beans resembled a meatless hotdog chili. As far as service goes, the server was unfamiliar with the menu. I also sat for almost half an hour waiting on the bill to be brought to me. The server never came back. It wasn’t until another server tried taking my order, that I was able to ask for the bill.
