Nice park but be aware that many of the neighbors around the park are racist. Other than that it seems to be nice... site was reserved, with permits in order, for a charitable event. Police were called 2x when the only activity was kickball games. One guy even lied that he could hear the music at his house that wasnt even near the event. I couldnt hear the music until i was in the parking lot very close to the kickball field. The music was rap rather than rock and if a police officer, and a fire chief had not been part of our party and spoken with the officers dispatched, I believe we would have been shut down...

We came back from across town to bike the trails with our kids. I used to take the kids to the playground and walk the kids in a stroller or bike with them in a bike trailer on the interconnected trails. Now they're old enough to ride their own bikes. We started at the Palmer Lake West playground, then biked around the lake and crossed Xerxes on the trail up to France, where we cut across on Violet Avenue back to the playground. This is my local park. I love exploring the swamp in the winter time; fat biking on Shingle Creek itself, shed hunting for deer antlers and letting my dog, Ally, run free. This is a good location to see all sorts of wildlife. I have pheasants come out of the swamp to visit my bird feeders. In the springtime the park is alive with all sorts of warblers, I’ve witnessed a eagle snatch a fish and in the last few years there’s a pair of sand hill cranes...

We wanted to walk around the lake, which could be done as described, but we were hoping to actually see water. Beautiful paved multi use paved trail, but disappointed we could only see cattails as far as the eye could see. There was a tiny algae filled inlet with a few pairs of ducks. Nice day to be out, but if you’re looking for a view, try elsewhere.

Very nice park with ball fields, tennis courts, and a basketball court. New playground equipment and several picnic tables. Very nice paved walking path around the lake. I walk around the ballpark area. Keep your eyes open, and you'll probably see some eagles and lots of other birds.

Lots of beautiful wild wetlands, as well as parks soccer fields, and mixed use areas. 2.9miles of various walking pathes. Well cared for. I loved it. 😁😁😍😍🤗🤗🤗
