Nice trailhead with clean bathrooms and good parking. Walked to the historic ranger station in flip flops. Came back the next day and did the entire Beaver Pond Loop (3.3 miles). Views are underwhelming but the wildflowers were amazing. No beavers welcomed us at the pond, but the mosquitoes were glad...

Nice, easy trail that offers great views of the lake and mountains. There is also a pond asking the trail that is home to several beavers, hence the name. The historic ranger station near the trailhead...
