My family and I were really excited to eat some pizza near one of the most beautiful parks in the US. We arrived around just before 5pm and there were very few tables. The waitress with the long hair came by and dropped off the menus to us but didn't give us any drink menus. About 5 minutes or so later we had to go find her to get a menu. She took another 5-10 minutes to come back and we placed our drink and food order. No Big deal. We ordered 2 large pizzas, some beverages and a side of Ranch dressing. About 10 minutes or so later we received our drinks. Again not a big deal but still pretty long just to get drinks. Shortly after several tables came in and sat beside us. They ordered their drinks and got them relatively quick. About 45 more minutes the other tables food came out and we hadn't seen our waitress since she left. An hour into it the other tables are now eating, I asked her about how much longer she though it would be since it was over an hour for 2 pizzas and everyone else had received their food. She made some smart comment about how she wasn't responsible for when other table waitresses put their food in. But she would check. While other waiters and waitresses were busting their tales with the new customers she was standing around doing nothing. She then went to the cook and pointed us out and it seemed as though she had either forgotten to put it in or lost our order. After another 15-20 minutes of not seeing her and no drink refills another waitress brought our pizzas out. She was very nice. We asked for refills and she graciously obliged. They had forgotten the ranch and the silverware so I thought I would just ask when they came back. Again...she NEVER CAME BACK. After I had eaten 2 pieces I went up and asked the male waiter for ranch he said I would need to pay 2.25$ for it. At this point I was like WHATEVER. So he gave us the ranch and we ate our meal. Eventually we got silverware but not from our waitress. The pizza was actually REALLY GOOD. Our family enjoyed it very much. We had finished for quite a bit and still hadn't seen our waitress since I asked about the food. She walked by our table dozens of times and completely ignored us. We had to seek out our check to pay and still didn't get anymore refills. We also had to go and ask for a box to take some food home. After sitting for almost 2 hours with the WORST service I think I've experienced we went to pay and they had charged us for the Ranch which I thought since I only had it for half my meal shouldn't I at least get a discount? lol. Our family normally chooses to tip VERY WELL, this is the first time in probably 10 years that I can ever remember choosing not to. My advice...order the pizza and maybe pick...
Read moreStopped in for pizza but what we got was RUDE service. The place was busy when I arrived, but there was a table outside that was empty and hadn't been bussed. So I asked the waitress inside if she needed me to clear it since I could see they were busy. She said no, that they were short staffed but she would clear it we spent $60 on 2 pizzas, then went outside to sit. My daughter can't eat cheese, so she walked around the corner and got a salad from the Mexican place that shares a parking lot. She brought it to where we were outside and was eating. Once she finished, suddenly and abruptly the owner came out and as rude as can be said, and I quote "would you go to a resteraunt in New York and bring in someone else's food an eat it!" I was stunned at how rude she was. I said is there a reason you had to come tell us so rudely? I said there's a way to talk to people and that isn't it. I then told her I had just spent money on food at her place, but that my daughter can't eat pizza. She then proceeded to tell me I yelled at her waitress to bus the table!?!? Are you kidding me? I offered to help and at no time raised my voice. She the went back inside and came back out and said let me say it politely, you can leave after you get your food. Wow. I cannot believe she would treat a paying customer this way. If it wasn't for the fact there was nothing else open, I would have demanded a refund and left immediately. Her husband then comes out and stares down my friends who were there with me. A short time later she and he come outside with the pizzas and tell us to leave. If this place was in a location where they weren't the only place in town they would be shut down for such rude service. I suggest avoiding this nasty impolite business at...
Read moreGreat food and service despite the crowds! First and foremost, use the website, glacierpizza.com (if you can get a cell signal), to order ahead and beat the line at the door. There is no indoor seating yet, so the outside patio/deck area gets full fast. Be prepared to wait at leat 45 minutes or more during peak times, but the wait is worth it after a long day hike in Glacier. The crust is thin and crunchy, the way I like it, with toppings running close to the crust. You won't find large dough bubbles and extra crust (signs of cheating the customer) on this pie. There are lots of different pizzas available or you can customize your own. The first night we ordered from here, we got the Angel's Wing and Pepperoni pizzas and an order of the St. Mary's Wings. The pizzas were great and the wings were awesome, very thick, meaty, and slathered in flavorful Buffalo sauce. The bleu cheese is creamy and rich, a perfect complement to the wings. We liked our dinner so much, we ordered a second night. The place was much busier the second night, and they gave me the wrong pie (ordered a 16" sausage, got a 12" plain). Given how busy the place was, I didn't check the order, but when I got to our room at St. Mary's, I noticed the mistake. I went back down to the place (they were closed by now) and explained the mistake to the hostess. She and the boss made me the 16" sausage and gave me the 12" plain. We also ordered the Rising Wolf pie which is phenomenal! These people are classy, so it pays to be kind and patient. We all make mistakes, and I was impressed to see the professionalism and speed with which Rising Sun worked to fix theirs. Thank you for the great food and service....
