To start, I’m admittedly a taker of reviews and don’t usually leave my own. That said, the dining table we now have is beyond beautiful, and I owe it to others to share my experience.

I’m a researcher to a fault. I have been looking for a dining table for months almost daily; because I have so many specific criteria, + I wanted real wood.

I hope this review will help others who may be similar to me to make a decision to work with Hector.

Here’s the pros: -Hector, the owner; amazingly nice. He’s passionate about the tables and sourcing the materials. Very knowledgeable. -You can look on his site (but also plan to go in person because he gets new slabs in frequently, I imagine it’s difficult to keep up with) pick your slab. Get the dimensions you want. We found four we liked initially. I took pictures, had the measurements and wanted to go home to re-measure in my space exactly. Absolutely no pressure from Hector to “buy while we were there”. I really appreciate that. pick your legs. You end up with a custom table!! And, the table was delivered the next day!!! No joke. Not 12 weeks. Not 6mo back order. My husband was shocked, and said “This is exactly what I would have hoped this process would have gone when we started this search”

Cons: None I can’t believe I’m saying that. Not because Moruxo isn’t fantastic, but truly a 5 star experience, and I’m picky!

Also, I asked Hector what he does with extra scrap of wood when people do need to cut off a few inches. I told him if he had any available, I really wanted one for my bathtub for my tablet and wine. He made it happen :)

Having grown tired of website ordering shenanigans, I started looking for a local solution to my immediate need of a motorized standing desk, without the compromises I found myself making just to get something fairly priced with no having to wait half a year or more.

I called Moruxo on the off-chance they made these, as my central wish was for solid wood; I grew up poor and haven't had the pleasure of solid wood quality. At the prices I was seeing in my research, no way was I going to fork over without it being solid wood.

I ended up leaving a voicemail but was quickly contacted by Hector, who was getting into creating them, after doing his own extensive research. I spoke with him a long while and the desks he set out to create was checking all of my boxes of what I have been looking for, including price!

Since he was only getting into making them, there was still some ordering to be done on his end but he kept good communication with me the whole time. Before too long, Hector had finished the desk and physically delivered it to me after payment.
