Buffalo Creek Reservoir — Attraction in Buffalo Grove

Tried fishing the spilloff pond the other night. Really pretty area and saw lots of people hiking. Haven't explored the walking trails for the rest of the creek, but definitely would like to. Fishing was incredibly frustrating. Saw tons of big bass jumping out of the water and lots of bubbles, but never got a bite. Water is pretty much zero visibility and lost 4 lures on bad snags. Also was tons of fishing trash left around the area. Empty worm cups, tangled line, cans of corn... Only reason I'm not rating this lower is that it is beautiful and I'm sure if you're patient enough you can land some monster fish. I just don't have the money to keep losing expensive...
