Reflecting the City of Burien's minimal investment in, or interest in, outdoor spaces for the general public, this park is essentially closed. There remains about a quarter mile of trail to the beginning of a chained and gated stairway that used to lead down to a public beach.
This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, as the majority of wealthy town residents who pull the strings would like you to stay away from the open spaces that they ostensibly own, also including Lake Burien and Three Tree Point. While other nearby communities strive to make open spaces more accessible (Des Moines, even Tukwila with it's Green River corridor, come to mind), Burien wants to become more like a gated community. Stay away-you are not wanted, is what this should suggest to you, person who doesn't own a home here. In light of this, why should you visit and spend your money in the "cute" little town center that town boosters so desperately want...
Read moreEagle Landing Park is more of a trail than a park. It is nicely tucked away in a secluded area in Burien, not far from Three Tree Point.

I recommend checking this park out once the railing stairs going down to the beach...
Read moreBeautiful absolutly stunning except there was no way to get down to see the water which is ungodly misleading since there are photos of water shown in the overview of this tourist attraction. There's a log that was in honor of the 2012 cubscouts that helped the park out but I'm not sure how if they took the time to put in the trail or made it public or what. The log was the like a foot stone but it was the edge of a dirt staircase and it was top step it was made if wood and it is rotting and it's difficult to understand. But it doesn't currently lead to the water because the final staircase is out of order because of I believe of a landslide or...
