Stopped here on a whim with the family on a very beautiful sunny day and so happy we did. This was such a serene place to just take a break and enjoy that life is all about. A cute little lake with a nice trail, plenty of shade, some tables, benches, fishing pier, covered seating area, clean restroom, limited parking, and right off the main road here. Frisbee golf along part of the walking path and trees, a smaller back lake and walking paths, and plenty of space to just sit on the grass. Nice fountain at one area of the lake. We saw kids playing and fishing and loads of smiling faces. Perfect for walks, jogging, bikin, relaxing, or even smaller family events or gatherings. Pet poo stations and garbage cans along the walkway, so no excuses to be those folks that don't pick up after pets or just leave a mess. I think both a good and an annoying thing was no smoking or vaping allowed as I vape, but it was actually really nice to just take in the fresh clean air. Only got to see the North side and will have to go back to see the rest just south of...
Read moreThis is a wonderful little park with lots of trees and water. The main walking trails are all concrete and are generously sized to handle plenty of traffic. There's a very popular disc golf course on site as well. The only challenge to enjoying yourself here is finding some available parking to get started.
There are several picnic tables and ample space around them to host a good sized family and related activities. It is common to see families hanging out and enjoying the outdoors! The small lakes, shade from the many trees, and the frequent southern breeze all combine to make a wonderful outting!
I enjoy walking my dog here, as well as enjoying the walking trails on my own. I also enjoy fishing here, catching the occasional bass or sunfish. My oldest grandson really enjoys the fishing - a small fishing rod, bobber and some worms will keep him occupied with sunfish for quite awhile!
This is a great park - highly...
Read moreLike everyone I agree it’s nice place to walk and relax with family and dog but... the mountain bike trails are more for kids. Yes there is some back to back camel back hump thingys and are ok but for more experienced people it is more like speed bumps specially if you are into Intense riding. Also there is a hill I climb up and go down which is the only reason I go there for but it is going to be a neighborhood soon. It was not part of the trails but was the best part of the area. As far as bike trails 1 ⭐️. For beginners and kids it’s perfect though. I’ll have to keep driving up to Fort Worth specially after the Hill turns into a neighborhood. Please let me know when it’s allowed to build trails for intermediate & Triple black diamond trails or whatever you wanna call it. I would love to help build those trails. Who knows maybe a local kid can get inspired to go...
