Marden's — Attraction in Calais

can never find help in the flooring dept. loaded up myself in a cart, not a big deal, employee yells from across the furniture dept that im not allowed to do that. degrading me with condescending comments in front of other customers also doing the same as I....that i should know better and that was unacceptable for me to do this! i was then instructed to unload my purchase and reload it onto another cart. no help, i did this and condescending comments continued like I was a small child. i was then told to proceed to service desk to check out and pay and they would bring the items up to assist loading in vehicle. I asked for a slip so i could pay, i was told i couldnt have a copy yet as she wasnt done completing it and i should just go up front and wait for them. after about 15min, some other employees arrived with the flooring and a slip so i could check out. the entire incident was ridiculous, and i believe that it was such an issue loading own items because the employee would not have been able to include there name on the slip as a salesperson for commission! word of advice, wise up and treat your customers...

Wasnt too pleased. Had to speak with a supervisor... I went and bought fabric . 20 different prints at a yard each.... the lady who was cutting my fabric stopped in the middle of cutting my fabric to cut another's customer's fabric... he had 4 prints at 3 yards each. I asked why she stopped cutting my fabric.. she told me to cut this customers fabric because he was in a hurry... I said I was here first and you stopped to.cut some elses... went to find a supervisor. I explauned the situation and told her her worker should finish my order before attending to the next customer. I told the supervisor she may need help cutting fabric....the supervisor went and helped...

I always stop at this store when I’m in town, you never know what you’ll find! This is the best Marden’s in Maine with the most amazing staff who truly go the extra mile! I lost a gold bracelet that is very dear to me while shopping there recently. When I called the store to see if anyone had found it, they were diligent about verifying that I was the owner and then worked to get it back to me even though I live hours away. Special shoutout to David and Melissa for their efforts! I will always come back to this Marden’s, not only for the great people but also the fantastic inventory. Never a disappointing trip...
