Rocky Oaks Park — Attraction in California

Just off Mulholland, Rocky Oaks feels like a secret slice of wilderness. The loop trail winds through oak groves and sage scrub, and at the center is a seasonal pond that attracts lizards and birds. You can walk the whole thing in an hour and a half. Sometimes there is water in the pond. Sometimes it stays dry for years. No fishing, obviously. Traffic and vineyard construction and machinery noise. Has a restroom.
