I've always loved Knights Ferry and Orangeblossom. Clean, safe, and beautiful! Nice to get away from the city for a day and enjoy the river and wildlife. Amazing hiking trails with great views of the river, picnic tables (also with stunning views of the river) and some historic sites, and an awesome little museum. There's always birds of prey flying around the cliffs. I saw a vulture up close today, and a few adolescent hawks flying together. Definitely grab your binoculars and visit asap if your a birder! The river is usually cold but it's fun to put your feet in, and my dog loves to splash around and...

I had forgotten how pretty it is to travel down the river. Getting a kayak in was so easy at Knights Ferry. There is plenty of parking and a bathroom. We found some areas of the river too shallow in early September 2025. We got stuck on boulders or on high river bed and had to get out to get forward on that part. The "rapids" were very mild and parts of the river required paddling if we wanted to move along. It seemed like more than two hours to get to the Horseshoe boat take out area. But it was an enjoyable experience on the water among the big trees. There is a bathroom...

Oh my god this place is amazing! Today was such a hot day and so we decided to head down to the river to cool off with a few friends. The water was so cold and clear, not to mention, refreshing. Everyone is so respectful and no one is bothering someone else, all animals are trained and kept on leashes. Seriously, an amazing place to go in the summers, whether with your friends, family, significant other etc. You might have to hunt for parking, but after that, it's...

TRAILS, GROUP, RAFTING, CAMPING. Our group camped out for 3 days locally. We walked the trails by Knights Bridge, up and down the river. Spent a day rafting on the river, and exploring the local town. The rafting staff was nice and helpful; great for family, kids, and Casual river adventures. Loved the attractions in Knights Ferry (the local town) the Knights Ferry Creamery & Sweets and Spoons (burger joint) in the back of the Knights Ferry General Store was awesome.

I came here to be a vendor at the Knights Ferry Peddler's fair and this was a great location for it. There was plenty of parking, clean restrooms, clean open space and picnic areas. There is also parking across from the main parking lot. I did not go around the entire area, but I can tell from that it is nice. The walking paths are dirt so it gets dusty when strong winds blow but for the most part, the pathways are smooth

Beautiful place to take a hike or cool down your feet/ legs in the water. BE SAFE!! Don't go in the water completely unless you have a life jacket, know how to swim and are aware of the surroundings &water currents. Great place for tubing, but have a plan. Don't go alone for your own safety. Bring a lot of water especially on hot days. Mosquito repellent handy as well.
