You need a special key fob to have access to this dog park. I happened to arrive when another person did. She had a fob "from the city". It's the only way in. For someone visiting from out of town and who travels frequently with their dog I thought it was INCONVENIENT that the park would be locked with no signs or directions as to how to obtain a key to get in. I've been to many dog parks across the States, and this is the first time I've googled parks nearest me... Drive to it... And then realize you need a key to get in. It needs to be advertised as such is all I'm trying to say. Hopefully this review will help communicate that for anyone else like me. On the other hand, my dog had a blast once we got in!! There are multiple water filled kiddie pools and a large open grassy area for your dog to run romp and play. Plenty of water bowls and access to running water as well. I would give this 5 stars if not for the key fob entry issue. Picture attached for attn of my girl Maggie. She's tired out at our hotel room after playing in...
Read moreThere are many great dogs at the dog park. Some owners do not have a handle on their dogs aggression+we experienced that today. Very sad. Ringo a Shiba Inu, , got mugged by a big black Standard poodle, don’t know his name. Now Ringo will not shake his body cause it hurts, 5 hours later. This woman+her poodle would not leave when Ringo was attacked. Big black poodle came at me too, in full attack mode+she caught him by the collar!+stopped him 2 feet from me. . Don’t look for any help from the policemen either, 2 20 yr olds showed up w zero people skills, or any vague idea how to diffuse a situation. Just so sad+that woman did not want a report, cause I’m Sure her aggressive dog has done that plenty of times. Sad for my dog, we have been going since he was 4 months old, now he’s 11, Loves the park+it’s his happy place. But I am tired of stupid dog owners, Aggressive dogs, male dogs that aren’t neutered+ create Havoc. GoodBye Friends and nice people...
Read moreAt least once a visit I encounter dogs that are possessive of their owners and lash out when any other dog approaches, dogs being aggressive towards other dogs, not playing appropriately and the owners are extremely cliquey. Most owners seem oblivious to their dog's behavior and make excuses for it rather than addressing it, or are too busy on their cell phones or talking to each other rather than watching their pets. And if you are not in their clique, your dog will get blamed even though it's one of their dogs that's being the problem. I deeply regret purchasing a membership. I went there in hopes of my dog making friends and having fun, instead we both walk away frustrated and on two occasions, my dog walked away with injuries. The best time of day to go is when nobody else is there. On the plus side I like how high the fences are and how big...
