The recent slew of negative reviews of this location is extremely telling. My child and their friends have come home crying after how rude the manager, Joe, is to them. He's yelled at them multiple times and refused them tap water. The last time they went, he instructed them to move their bikes which were outside because they were hindering customers (how even?), when they went outside to do so he threw away the ice cream they left inside saying it was trash. I called to get the owners number, Joe refused to give it to me, and 5 minutes later I got a call from a No Caller ID saying they were the owner, but it was VERY obviously Joe. I went in to talk to the owner, Joe refused to give me the corporate number (which I can find on google) or the store number, when I asked politely. He said "this will not end the way you want it to" (what does that even mean? I want it to be a safe environment for children) and banned me from the store, when I did not raise my voice or cause a scene. I did not go to confront him, simply get the info for contacting corporate, and would not even feel safe returning here with my children. He also stated he's "tired of giving all the kids from Cherry Hill Village and Ridgeview on their bikes water" because it's too expensive. Fine, don't give them tap water if it's that expensive, but don't yell at or scare children in an ice cream shop. A man on a power trip as a manger of an ice cream store... laughable and sad. I'm not upset about how he treated me, but the environment he's creating around the children in...
Read moreI went to this location today and I regret ever coming here. I had walked in with my girlfriend at 8:30 on 3/12/24 to order a simple milkshake and the employee with the dark curly hair told me she canât make milk shakes and I said okay. I asked for cake batter ice cream and they said they donât have it, then I asked for about 5 over flavors and they didnât have anything, they said no smoothies either. So I ordered whatever they had and as she was making my ice cream she stopped and when in the back and went on her phone!! While my ice cream is sitting on a filthy counter top with old dried up toppings and ice cream. Two girls behind me also asked for a milkshake and I kid you not her words were âwe stopped making milk shakes but I guess I can make you one.â Are you serious you just said you canât make milkshakes but youâll make one for the two girls behind me in line because you know them from school?? What kind of service is that. These employees were two females, one mixed with curly hair and a short Indian female. They were both extremely rude and were on their phones while touching your food!! With no gloves and touching money and had open milk sitting on the counter and if they stopped making shakes, imagine how long that has been sitting out. Stupid me and my girlfriend still ate the ice cream and Iâm already in the bathroom. The health department needs to investigate this location and these two horrible employees need to be immediately fired and investigated. absolutely disgusting and terrible service on...
Read moreWhen you walk in, you are hit with the smell of rotting mop water. I came in around 9:30 when there was an evening rush. There were 4 or 5 employees who were stressed out (and rightly so). One person by the name of "Josh" was really mean to the other employees and I felt bad for them cause the person who served me seemed really sweet. Honestly the whole experience gave me ptsd flashbacks to when I worked in a restaurant with abusive managers.
I watched them as they prepared the ice cream and the whole counter was a mess. No cleaning up in between ice cream orders or anything. I have a nut allergy and I've never had any problems with coldstone making my ice cream on their usual counters, but this time I specifically asked them to make it in the back because I was so worried about the contamination.
I recieved my ice cream and it barely filled up the whole cup, I mean I ordered a medium and the ice cream filled up 2/3rds of the cup, not even joking. Don't waste your time here and go to the Ann Arbor location on washtenaw avenue. They actually give you generous helpings and the store does not smell like trash or...
