We visited on a Saturday afternoon in mid-June 2025. Finding parking was a little rough. There were a number of extra spots on grass and in the Fort William Parade Grounds field with sun and no shade. But if you wanted a decent spot closer to water or on more compact surface it was difficult to find. We did find a great spot up on hill by the public bathroom (porta johns). It was a great spot because there is a pavilion right up top that's great for picnicking. We hiked to the Goddard Mansion last after exploring everything else. The lighting was perfect through the trees in the late afternoon. We entered from the back side coming from the Abandoned Fort Williams Bunker. There are trails back there and it looked so cool with the light. We took a number of photos and most people didn't really care. It looked like most hiked on the more formal trail to the front side. The mansion interior is fenced off but it was still really cool. I think we timed it just right for photos here. Also there weren't very many people interested in it. Looks like most wanted to see the abandoned bunker and then headed back. We would definitely come back to visit this mansion to explore it a bit more and see how it looks in other lighting conditions. We had a lot of fun doing photography here.

Incredible old building. The inside has been blocked off so you can't enter the building itself, but you can see through the windows ans doorways. Remnants of the old fore places are still present and the stone work is amazing. Incredible to walk around and think about how many lives came and went from here back in the day.

Super cool historic location! The mansion is visible from the parking lot and easy to walk to. The mansion is fenced in, but you can still get pretty close safely. (Although walking up and around the back is a bit more challenging than waking up to the front) The park is clean and there are port-a-pottys available.

I stumbled across this shell of a mansion and fell in love with it!! The architecture is amazing and it is sad that it is in such disrepair. If ever I wish brick and mortar could talk then this is it. This can be accessed by the first parking lot on the left as you enter Fort Williams. I would like more signs to direct you to it. It can be accessed year round and in the summer there are trails all the way around the structure so you can get a full view of the amazing building. There is a cute little memorial stone with a description of the history of the...

Free parking Free admission Easy to locate via GPS No public restrooms No public water fountain Pet friendly Open sunrise to sunset

A steep incline from the parking lot to the mansion. If you have a child stroller or wheel chair it's going to be a work out.

The Mansion is fenced off from the inside which keeps people out, you can't go inside but you can still take great photos from the outside the Mansion.

Its a quick visit 15-30 minutes of looking around and taking photos . Very beautiful building with nature slowly...
