A Blissful Escape at Omni La Costa Spa
From the moment I arrived at the Omni La Costa Spa, I was in awe. The stunning flowers and beautifully landscaped grounds outside set the tone for the luxurious experience awaiting me inside. The interior was just as breathtakingâtranquil, elegant, and inviting. Every staff member I encountered was warm, helpful, and genuinely welcoming.
I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of amenities offered. I started my day with the jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, and a sound bath in the Himalayan salt roomâeach experience more soothing than the last. The showers were stocked with everything you could possibly need to refresh and get ready, and the spa robes? I could live in themâcozy, plush, and perfectly warm.
My massage with Vanessa was the highlight of the day. She greeted me in the serene waiting lounge, where I enjoyed spa water, snacks, and an array of hot teas. Vanessa was incredibly sweet, professional, and attentive. I mentioned a few areas that needed extra attention and my preference for a firmer touch, and she delivered the best massage Iâve ever had. Her hands felt truly magicalâshe found every knot and tension point and worked them away with expert care. I walked out feeling like a million bucks.
Afterward, I enjoyed a fresh and delicious lunch on the patio of the spa café, soaking in the sun and serenity of the space.
This spa is truly extraordinary. Every detail, every moment felt thoughtful and luxurious. I canât...

There are several infused water stations throughout which was lovely. Locker space was adequate and the automatic locks worked perfectly. The showers were clean and the shampoo/conditioner provided smelled amazing. They offered flip flops if you forgot which is always a great touch.
I enjoyed the hot tub and steam room but wished the sauna was functional (it was out of order). My massage was good, as was my facial, but was a little disappointed that the light in my facial room burned out/was not functional after maybe 1 minute of extractions so I was unable to get 75% of my extractions done (an important part of a facial in my opinion). The esthetician was very apologetic, kind, & professional. Just would have liked to have the full treatment for the money spent.
Lastly, the woman checking me in at the first spa desk & then out post-services was just pretty unfriendly. No interest in engaging outside of charging my credit card and getting me out the door. Just not a great first or last impression, but nothing that would keep me from visiting again.
Overall, a beautiful property and worth the investment for...
Read moreHad a 50 minute signature massage which because it was Friday was priced at $225. I had a credit for the massage but was told when checking in that a 20% gratuity would be added on checkout regardless. The massage was satisfactory but the therapist seemed tired and the actual massage was less than 50 minutes. Additionally the room must have been next to the pool because I could hear women laughing and yelling for 50% of the massage. Since the pool is a âspaâ pool I question why management is ok with large groups of women partying when treatments are going on. The spa lunch was good and cost $50 for a salad and one alcoholic drink. The bathrooms had debris on the floor. The indoor jacuzzi was great, did not try the steam and sauna.
At checkout I was told to pay a $45 gratuity for an okay non relaxing massage. I was under the impression that one tipped based on quality of service, that it is optional. If I did not have my credit the day would have cost me $320.00. I felt like I had gone to a community pool with a jacuzzi that gave massages. I did not feel that special feeling or ahh one gets after spending the day at the spa.
It seems like the Spa at La Costa has gone downhill and it is a shame. It used to be one of the jewels of...
