Biggers Market — Attraction in Carolina Beach

We have been going there for years, especially to get their delish heirloom tomatoes but last year in particularly, their quality has dismissed. The worker told me they are refrigerating the tomatoes. How Awful! They rarely are fully ripened and they barely have that wonderful smell and feel of a truly sun ripened tomato. They are often cold when I pick one up. I think they're more concerned with how long they can keep them ( like the grocery stores) than ripened, sweet and yummy. What a cryin' shame. Anytime my beau and I go to Carolina Beach we always have to stop at Biggers Market for fresh produce - as he says it’s our spot! We enjoy browsing and checking out all the extras. They have fresh baked bread & desserts plus a lot of refrigerated items including premade meals, various cheeses & butter. I like grabbing a couple honey sticks. I shop here often & always pay in cash. I was .27 cents short and the person taking my cash didn't budge. So I used my card and on the card reader it asked if I would like to tip? Exactly "what" did you do in my brief shopping experience to be so brazen? Ridiculous & insulting to your customers who probably tell you to keep the change when paying in cash.
