Stopped by Sierra Nevada Sports Collectibles this morning for the first time and met Don and Beth. What a great card shop. I so desperately needed to step foot inside an old school card shop to remind myself that the hobby of collecting cards is so much more than just Ebay and Dave and Adam's.
I starting chatting baseball immediately with Don. We chatted about the current holdout, the draft, prospects, it was great. We chatted about the hobby and how it's changed over the years. He really knows his stuff.
The shop is well stocked with card supplies such as binders, sleeves, one-touches, toploaders, and storage boxes. I've been trying to find toploaders and shoeboxes online for weeks and nothing. I walk into this shop and boom! Everything I needed was right there.
I picked up some Robby Thompson singles for my PC (yes, singles...I told you they were old school) and a sweet Kevin Mitchell autographed Topps Tribute card.
The shop had in the brand new 2020 Topps Series 2 as well. They had whole hobby boxes and single packs for sale. They also had some 2020 Bowman. I only really paid attention to the baseball cards but they stock sealed basketball and football too. They even have some old school wax in right now (which is making a comeback folks!).
I was in the shop for almost two hours. It really took me back to collecting as a kid in the 90s when I'd loiter around my LCS for hours milking the two packs of Fleer that I'd bought with my lawn mowing money.
Nice shop. Well stocked. Lots to look at. And nice, knowledgeable staff. Check this place out. If for nothing else you'll at least get a glimpse into how the...

I go in for the Pokémon. They have the largest variety I've seen so far in town. I usually stay and talk with them for at least ten minutes. Thank you for always being so kind, friendly, and personable. I have a great time every...
