Saw BEYONCÉ's FORMATION WORLD TOUR here and it absolutely friggen blew my mind. But I'm not rating her tour, I'm rating the stadium and its staff. During this tour, as you may recall, there was an intense thunderstorm that caused Beyoncé to call for a delay in the performance that would last indefinitely since there was no telling how long the storm would last. Well... the staff/security decided that rather than allowing everyone to seek shelter in the structures that make up the stadiums covered areas (those structures being surrounded by stadium lights that must be roughly 100 ft tall which would act as perfect lightning rods in the event that a bolt were to strike nearby) that they were going to make everyone leave the stadium by exiting through the gates and forcing them out into a massive open gravel lot filled with cars and shorter exposed metal lighting features that greatly increased the likelihood of being struck by lightning for the average concertgoer. Despite my efforts to stay as close to the concrete covered structure in a location where there were insulated metal poles far above my elevation to protect me from the storm, they rudely screamed at me until I was forced out of the stadium. First of all, from an event management perspective, it never should have gotten to this point. Rather than rushing hordes of panicked people across a massive field of gravel and cars to get to shelter in the indoor athletic field structure they were trying to use as a temporary gathering area for the attendees to take refuge in during the storm, they should have made a call to postpone the performance until a later hour when the storm had passed. All of this timing could have been predicted just by taking a short glance at the radar. Hours before the storm was coming (since it was super obvious it had been building for hours before the concert) the stadium managers could have called for the evacuation, but instead they waited until it was there imposing immediate danger upon everyone they were forcing out of their establishment. Lives were put at risk for this stupid procedural evacuation that came much too late, and I absolutely lost every shred of faith or respect I had for the people in charge...
Read more-5* -5* -5I tried to attend the formation tour on may 3rd. We sat in traffic for 3 hours they didn't have enough parking for the tickets that were sold. We finally got in the venue at 9:30 and no one could help us find our seats. The concert shut down at 10 saying she would return. When they cleared the stadium we all thought beyonce would be back on but security got on the Bull Horn and demanded that we leave. He said the show was over. So doing as we were told we left! It only took 10 mins to leave and get to I-40 so idk why it took 3 hours to park. Beyonce took the stage again and finished the concert but we missed everything due to lack of organizations on the venue part! SHAME ON YOU CARTER-FINLEY STADIUM. taking people's money and not being organized. People please don't attend a concert here they rip ppl off! If I could give negative stars I would this was a...
Read moreI love this stadium. And I love the setup and energy when you are in the stadium. I love that they sell Chick-fil-A as well. I just wish they had more of a variety of options for food and drinks for such a big Stadium. The energy of this stadium is amazing. The thing that they can improve on in this stadium is the seating. A lot of the seats are like bleacher seats. They are uncomfortable and also if you're coming with the group and others are also with the group it is kind of hard to stay seated in your own seat. You may end up in someone else's seat because other person is not sitting where they should be. They should individualize the seating. I love going to the home games because when there's a touchdown they do the fireworks and they also send that little dog to run across the field...
