I’ve had Tiger Sugar a long time ago when they opened up shop in Flushing, NY. So imagine my excitement to see this location in Cary (conveniently close to H-Mart too—which is wonderful but also sad for my wallet…). 🥲

The tea here is delicious, enough said. 💕 I really don’t think you can go wrong with any drink you choose. The black sugar boba is a classic (my sister likes hers with coffee jelly, which is a really yummy combo). I’ve recently tried their pineapple tea with tea jelly and that was super refreshing. ✨ Their boba is soft and chewy and just seems higher quality/freshly made as opposed to other tea shops in the area.

I also lowkey love that this is a collab between Tiger Sugar and Chunky Boss because there’s nothing quite like Taiwanese popcorn chicken with your boba! The cutlet version is a little too chunky (which may be a good thing to others 😆), and my personal preference is to cook it inside just a liiitttle more, but it’s crispy and juicy and worth at least one try. 🙂

Our go-to is always the Taiwanese popcorn chicken though, which is cooked to perfection. We would try the other flavors/seasoning, but Original is just way too good for me and my sister to even try branching out. 😂 The five-spice flavor is the best!

Employees have been consistently warm and friendly on every visit, and I always appreciate it. They usually bring it up, but if they happen not to, ask for a free rewards card. If you’re buying drinks + fried chicken here, it adds up quick and you’ll get a reward sooner.

Definitely worth a stop if you happen to be in the area, or as a grand finisher to any grocery errands at H-Mart. 🥰

P.S. Our first visit, I was so excited that I put the straws into our drinks before shaking to blend everything together. 😭 Don’t be like us! Take the pretty picture first, then follow the instructions on the TV and shake first before putting in the straw! Or else you will be feebly shaking your drinks while trying not to spill anything through the hole your straw created… 💀

P.P.S. Can I also say that I love whoever compiles the in-store playlist? Last time we were there, I heard Bump of Chicken playing, and that’s such a nostalgic JRock band to me that I was taken aback. 😳 Great music, great atmosphere, friendly people,...

First off, this place is hidden next to H-mart. Like to the left of it, so don't think it's actually in H-mart. The vibes of this place were pretty nice, the decor and bathroom being exceptionally clean. But, this place gets pretty crowded, and there are about 3 tables. You might need to share with someone. The prices? A bit scary, very expensive, so I don't think you should go here daily. For me, once in awhile. The quality of the chicken is outstanding, really tender and juicy. The drinks are good, just pretty small when paying 6-8 bucks for one. The service was really nice. The first time I went, the manager(?) was greeting people and opening doors. Nice first impression! The second time I went, they messed up my order, BUT ended up giving me a free chicken cutlet which was super kind! I reccommend going here, unless you're bankrupt. Very...

I would go to war for this boba tea house! Of all the boba tea places I’ve visited and tried, they have the tastiest I’ve yet to find! The Tiger Meets Chocolate is my go-to (I sincerely wish I lived closer because I would get it every day without hesitation). The staff inside have always been so super nice to me, and their Tiger theme is adorable! The chicken is a generous, large portion that’s cooked perfectly and so tender and juicy. I do wish their rewards card wasn’t just for $10+ purchases, because I would have racked up some rewards after so many drink orders! Regardless, check...

By far the best boba/fruit tea in the Triangle. I've travelled to Taiwain multiple times, and this is the most authentic tea around. The tea quality and flavor is amazing, especially the oolong tea. Their boba is perfectly cooked, not too chewy and soft. The customer service here is also exceptional. This location also has Taiwanese popcorn chicken which is again the most authentic I've had here. This place is our go to - it will not disappoint!

The menu was really interesting. I was going to order online but saw they are charging $2+ extra for every item for online ordering. I decided to go in instead and got their black tea latte with boba and sweet chili cutlet with fries. The fries were a little bland and the drink was okay, but the cutlet was huge and tasted pretty good. Not sure I'd come back but I don't regret stopping by.
