Elk Ridge Park — Attraction in Castle Pines

A peaceful park with abundant resources including a full sized field, numerous hiking trails, sheltered picnic tables, benches, ample parking, play structures, and (during the summer season) available bathrooms and water fountains. Yeah this place is pretty cool. Came here for a lunchtime walk, but was really impressed with the design and layout of the whole place. Playgrounds, big field, several walking paths and even a design for a rather cool scavenger hunt that is displayed with rock pylons for the player to go hunt items. Super fun park with a cute splash pad! It did shut off for about 30 minutes in the middle of the day, and no one could figure out how to get it running again—but it eventually turned back on by itself. Maybe it’s a water-saving feature? The women’s bathroom was locked, which was tricky since it was a Sunday and there was a co-ed football clinic happening. A lot of girls ended up having to block off the men’s room to use it.
