I was there for Christmas in the village event, so that's what this will be reviewing.
I would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed by the number of Christmas lights (especially considering this event isn't free to enter). It's incredibly small and there wasn't much of anything to do.
The horse drawn transport was a nice touch, but the grounds are too small to get much enjoyment out of it and there not being much to look at.
Overall, it's a nice little thing to do if you're a local, but I wouldn't recommend it to those not already in the area and 100% do not use this as your main Christmas...

Read moreThis is a great place to come and explore things of the past in the turn of the century village. No matter what your age you will find something to peak your interest. Enjoy singing Christmas carols in the church. Watch the blacksmith, print maker, or the cabinet maker as they work their trade. Go visit the barbershop and catch up on the latest. Feel free to ask all the questions you want as they're happy to teach you about their work. And be sure to go visit the lovely homes in the village and watch as they prepare for and entertain guests...
