I'm giving it a 5 stars out of appreciation for the day time activities. Staff was nice, admission price was fair, and the vendors - oh so many vendors. Some great, some good, but by no means bad vendors that aren't corporations.
Why did I mention out of appreciation for the day time activities you may ask? We went for "Ragnarok" the 21+ event that occurs on Saturday night, and it was... Not terrible but certainly not worth the cost of admission (same price as day time viking fest) the vendors and event area shrinks dramatically and overall, just doesn't have the same magic as the Viking Fest.
Tl;dr - Viking fest is great especially for a first year ever of doing it so I imagine it'll only get better. Ragnarok may need some improvement, but the true value and experience happens during the day from...
