In the best way possible, I can't believe this ended up being a 4 star review.
Our wedding venue had A'Britin as an exclusive caterer. We already knew their food was good because we happened to be doing a venue tour when they had a This Little Piggy tasting and the venue owners were kind enough to let us try some of the food.
This paragraph is not how things ended up, but it's important to mention it and I want to make sure A'Britin knows how important their changes were. When we first started getting a quote together with A'Britin, it was a huge rug pull. We were quoted an insane amount for a 70 guest wedding that honestly made us consider calling our venue and telling them we couldn't do it. We talked to 2 different reps over ~6 months and whittled our selections down to a very basic menu that was still super pricey due to the structuring of their agreements.
Thankfully this is where the good news comes in. We got a new rep, Neil Lindstrom, who was amazing. He was very helpful and understanding, and also communicated to us that A'Britin had changed their pricing model to be much more competitive. The result was a huge difference that not only saved us nearly a massive amount compared to our original quote, but the flexibility in pricing allowed us to add back in some options for our guests so that everyone didn't have to eat the same exact dish. Neil helped us schedule a surprisingly fun tasting and we made some minor final changes to our This Little Piggy menu selections (one thing we switched to are their mashed potatoes which are awesome). He was responsive to emails and offered to set up calls as well. I can't praise Neil enough.
The day of the wedding went great. A'Britin arrived on time and set the food out on time. The servers were extremely nice and even offered to carry my wife and I's food to the table for us. We (the bride and groom) got drinks on the house which was not expected (we had a setup that was pretty much a cash bar besides one specific drink), and everyone enjoyed the food and there was plenty of it.
The final stretch of catering process and the wedding day itself were a 5/5. I'm docking one point because of the time that led up to it, but we're very thankful for how it worked out in the end. With their restructured pricing, great food, and great service, I'd say that anyone whose venue has exclusivity with A'Britin is in good hands, and if your venue doesn't have an exclusive caterer, I'd still highly...
Read moreMy son and daughter-in-law were married nearly 5 months ago and I’m still fuming about the meal that was served at their wedding. I decided it was time to speak my mind. We were able to attend a tasting hosted by A’BriTin to help decide the menu for the wedding day. The food was delicious! So good in fact that it made the decision difficult. Yet the decision was made; chicken breasts, green beans, mashed potatoes and a salad. Along with a pretzel wall for a late night snack. And…..that’s where it ended… Numerous guests received an undercooked chicken breast. In the same breath, others were treated to an overcooked piece of meat. I can say with certainty that the green beans were barely heated through, very difficult to cut much less eat. I don’t eat mashed potatoes so I cannot say anything, positive or negative, about them. The salad was good. The bartenders were amazing!!! Then there was the pretzel “wall”. It was no where near a wall, it was a metal stand with about 5 prongs to hold a couple of pretzels each. The presentation was horrible, but not as horrific as the pretzels themselves. Burnt, hard pieces of dough, the majority of them cast aside by guests as they were inedible. A complete joke. Paying $75.00 per dinner plate and an additional $600.00 for the pretzel wall, we expected better. We deserved better. You pay them in full prior to the event and they could care less what they serve. They’ve got your money and you are stuck with a sub par meal, with no recourse. PLEASE read the reviews…..it seems as though their wheels started coming off as many other clients had issues about the same time as our family wedding. They should be embarrassed and ashamed. It’s truly and sadly a company taking total...
Read moreA’Britin Catering delivered a somewhat underwhelming performance as the cater of our wedding. They were the preferred catering company of our venue Creekside Farms, so we didn’t have a say in the matter. We tried all three of their catering lines: distinctive, apples 2 apples (farm to table), and little piggy. We felt that the pricing for the product delivered was steep. The reason for the high prices was factoring in the cost of transporting to the venue and cooking it onsite which is completely understandable. However, the quality of food delivered was not up to par. We discussed this with our first representive from A’Britin. She tried hard to change our mind including having us come in to try the food a second time. However, we still weren’t 100% satisfied leading up to the wedding. We did feel that the appetizers we had the day of the wedding were superb. However, the main entree of chicken still had a chewy texture and less than ideal taste. We didn’t have any of our guests praise the quality of the food which was disappointing. There also was a mix up with the bartending portion of our service with them. We were supposed to have a hosted bar with a cash bar to follow. However, our representative we initially worked with left the company and this got lost in translation. This left us with 1.5 hours without drinks to end the wedding which was frustrating. I do have to say that A’Britin was professional during the entire time working together and tried to accommodate us as much as they could. We were satisfied with their COVID precautions as well. Overall, I was not impressed with A’Britin Catering and would not recommend them as a wedding cater primarily due to the lack of value and the quality of the food...
