Charlie is a horrible manager and even more disgusting human being. I walked in on 4th of July at 7:47 when they were set to close at 8. Charlie was waiting by the door and barked at me and my friend as soon as I walked in “you have 15 minutes, HURRY UP!” I understood we came in close to closing but we were coming in to purchase a cake and leave, no more than a 90 second mission. I tried to lighten the mood by explaining this and ignored his rudeness to which he blew a load of mist in my face and laughed screaming at me the bakery was closed and to see if there was anything left on the shelf. We found the perfect cake in the fridge shelf and were looking for someone to retrieve it. We talked to three different people, all of which were lovely, who were unable to get it out and the third decided to call Charlie to ask him to get it. He turned the corner and screamed at us in front of 10 of his staff “I TOLD YOU THE BAKERY WAS CLOSED!!!” He muttered a few curses at us and I thought it best to save my response for Google. We walked out after that. Moral of the story, avoid this place...
Read moreMy husband went to this grocery store this morning and had a very disappointing experience. An employee made a scene and treated him as though he was doing something wrong, calling it “work precautions.” While that may not have been the exact word “stealing,” the implication and tone were clear, and it was extremely inappropriate.
We are a Latino family, and my husband is also a police officer, veteran, and currently serving. No one should be judged or discriminated against based on how they look. In today’s climate, where members of the Hispanic community often face unfair treatment, experiences like this are disheartening and unacceptable.
I used to work in customer service and now work in investigations, and one of the most important trainings we receive is to treat every single person equally and respectfully. This is an area where this store clearly needs improvement.
We will not be returning, but I strongly believe management should be aware of how their employees treat customers—because at the end of the day, those interactions define the...
Read moreWhat happened? Place used to be filled with such friendly employees now it seems they have left and been replaced with such rude folks. I'd take robots and automation over the status quo here. Cashiers rude and unattentive too busy snapchatting I guess. Deli department is not bad the employees there seem to care, except for that one fellow who was digging for gold while preparing what looked like yams and marshmallows. The people by the courtesy counter are great though always helpful and friendly the cashiers need to take notes. About the store has some good selection on certain brands and items but at the same time it's not worth trying to navigate the cramped aisles. Which is worse now given their tax return deal with Instacart(which is a government jobs program). So now add having to deal with rude pushy spastic "professional shoppers" which only further crowd the store. Being in this place from the rude workers to rude shoppers to spotty sanitation standards just isn't worth it for some above average...
