As you probably know there are many places you can go to buy a mountain bike around here as well as have your bike maintained and I've been to most of them. Manny and his team will always overdeliver. Whether they're just explaining the mechanics and basics to a New Biker Or need to be more technical with Advanced bikers they will take their time and deliver five-star customer service. On multiple occasions, I've needed assistance, and they have been there for me even if it's a simple phone call or to answer a question. They do not treat you like a number, and their prices are very fair. This last visit was because I busted my front rim. I had a very expensive rim, and it was not easy to find online due to inventory across the country. Not only did Manny go above and beyond by doing extra research but he also asked me the right questions. For example, why I had my current rims. The rims were on the bike when I bought them so I did not know whether I should be using them or not. Don't get me wrong, they're great rims, but Manny took the time to explain, based on how I ride, that I may need a much sturdier and more resilient rim for the type of biking I do.

Boom! That's the difference! The reality is that even though this new Rim was much cheaper it was more effective for what I needed at my level of biking. (By the way this was definitely not as profitable for Manny and Loose Wheel, but it was the right thing to do. )

That's true customer service and putting the customer first!

On a different note, They have evening rides most Tuesdays and leave no biker behind. They also have a lot of fun events for kids throughout the year. Great company and a great team. Really cool...

I had a mountain bike I was converting to an ebike by trying to install a rear hub motor. I had messed up the process and couldn't fix it. So I brought it into the Loose Wheel for help. Within a couple days Manny had everything installed nicely and took the time to explain everything. I then asked him if he could install one more ebike piece on my bike (a pedal assist sensor). He agreed but a few days later called to tell me it couldn't be installed because of the geometry of my bike pedals (and the fact that the ebike kit was a cheaper knockoff of basic quality.... my words, not his). Manny mentioned he fiddled with it, did some online research and talked to his network of experts but there was no way to do it. He ended up installing what he could of the sensor pieces but one crucial piece just wouldn't fit. Here's where it gets interesting. I fully expected and encouraged him to charge me for his time but he would not charge me. He said that if he's going to expect payment then he should deliver a finished product. Because he couldn't install the sensor (through no fault of his own) he wasn't going to charge me. I insisted on paying him something but he wouldn't take anything. It is rare to find businesses who really look out for customers and are more interested in good long-term customer relationships rather than a quick buck. The people at the Loose Wheel are super-friendly, nice, and very clearly customer focused. They now have a long-term customer in me. I don't care if other bike shops in the area charge a few bucks less for service or products. You can't put a price on trust and integrity in my opinion. Go...

I just picked up my brand new Canfield Nimble 9 yesterday, fully assembled and ready to ride at Loose Wheel. First, I am so happy to have a Canfield dealer in the North East and it was absolutely worth the 2+ hour drive to go pick up my new bike. Second, Manny and the crew at Loose Wheel are awesome! The customer service was excellent. Manny himself answered the phone when I called in the morning of my purchase and made sure my new bike was ready by late afternoon... wow. Finally, when I arrived I found that my new bike was thoughtfully and meticulously assembled and set up pretty much exactly how I would have done it. I hadn't even realized until this morning that my wheels had already been set up tubeless... this goes above and beyond. Thank you so much for your awesome service. I hope you guys continue to crush it, and yes, I will be sending as much business your way as possible. The fact that you carry such awesome and hard to find brands as Canfield and Banshee makes me so happy.
