Lakes region conservation trust is and anti-inclusion of different human powered recreation. They love to act under the guise of conservation. But in reality what they like to do is buy up lands using donated funds and then select after the fact which human powered user groups get access even if those groups had access for decades. Even if prior to them owning the trails were built and maintained by local mountain bikers who've had access for 20-30 years they then turn around and try to kick bikers out. When brought up to the land manager of LRCT the issue of maintenance was brought up how they dont have the fund or personnel to maintain for bike use. Mind you the trails were almost entirely granite slab. When bikers offered to maintain like we always have... crickets.
