This is a neat older building to play hockey in. For the most part it is very accessible inside. Parking on u of I campus can be a hassle. Inside they have tried to update without losing the character of the old arena. It's a larger ice rink to so lots of ground for skaters to cover. The snack bar has s nice selection including hot foods. For an ice rink it's not terribly cold but if you get chilled easily and are a spectator bring a blanket. Read moreReduced price skate first Wednesday of the month from 7:30pm to 9:30 pm. Lots of fun, especially with family and children! Beginner skaters welcome as well. Lockers to rent, bring quarters, meter parking around side, also permit parking only enforced until 5 pm, so check the signs, you may be allowed to park depending on the time you are there. Snack bar takes some time to get the food out to you. Also there are chairs and benches available for people who are not ice skating....
