I visited Paris Super Crepe recently with a few friends, hoping for a quick and pleasant dessert stop. The ordering process here via self-service kiosks is straightforward, and is th le only way to pay using card payments. I was quite disappointed by the staff’s behavior during our visit.
I had a simple request: two scoops of ice cream without any drizzles or toppings. However, the kiosk interface required us to select both a drizzle and a topping, which we assumed we could clarify at the counter. When we approached a staff member to explain this, we were met with dismissiveness. He asked us to wait, which we were more than willing to do. But what followed felt incredibly disrespectful: he continued his tasks, walked past us multiple times, and ignored our presence completely.
When he finally did address us, he avoided eye contact and responded in a way that felt patronizing. He acted as though he couldn’t understand us, seemingly due to our accent, which was not only frustrating but made us feel singled out and belittled. The tone, body language, and overall attitude conveyed an unsettling level of condescension.
Though the food quality was good, this negative interaction overshadowed the experience. As someone who values being treated with basic respect regardless of my background, I left feeling uncomfortable and discriminated against.
I sincerely hope this feedback is taken constructively, as no one should feel unwelcome or looked down upon in a space that’s meant to be warm...
Read moreHorrible experience. I have never left a bad review but I felt I needed to. I just moved to the area and I was looking for a nice place to get a snack and drink, so I came here around 9pm. I walked in and the place was pretty packed and as I went to order my drink the lady was rude off the bat. I brushed it off and sat to wait for my order. I then heard my order being called so I went to the pick up area and I couldn’t find my order anywhere and the employees wouldn’t give me the time of day due to being busy so I waited another 10 mins. I then asked the cook if my order was ready and he then said no. I waited another 10 minutes. I asked him again and he said no but they were already almost 10 numbers ahead of mine. I went up front and politely asked the lady and she yelled at me “are you serious? We called your number 20 times” I was just surprised so I went back to the pick up area. The same cook that told me multiple times that it wasn’t ready told me “we said it 20 times” and basically threw my order at me. I typically don’t let things get to me but I was so confused and basically went home crying after waiting for so long and being excited about my drink. They also messed up the whole order and I didn’t even end up eating/drinking my stuff. I also left a 10$ tip which was dumb but it...
Read moreWe tried Paris Super Crepes for the first time during the kick off to 13 Thursdays in campustown. Once I found out they had Thai ice cream, I knew we had to come back and I wasn't wrong.
The selection is a little overwhelming at first, but the staff gave us space to make our choices and they weren't busy while we were there.
The ice cream takes a little while, because it is literally made in front of you. I had a berry sundae and they take real berries and smash them on the cold stone. Then they pour a fresh cream mixture over them and proceed to mix and scrape until it is all frozen. They scrape it off the stone, into rolls and top the rolls with more fresh berries and whipped cream.
The seating is a little funky, with high tables or low couches being the only options. It is also on campus, so the usual parking issues apply. It isn't too far from the parking garage though, so it is better than a lot of other options, in that regard. They are a bit on the pricey side, compared to somewhere like DQ, but again, they use fresh, real ingredients so it wasn't out of line...
