Their food options and the quality of their food is outstanding, but I had one of the most disappointing experiences tonight from the wildly incompetent service. Asked the waitress if our order was correct 3 times. She said yes each time. Yet when our check came when we decided to leave, she clearly had placed the wrong order, leaving everyone hungry, feeling cheated, and upset.
I arrived with a group of 5 at around 5:30pm, excited for their fondue after having heard many great things. We asked for an order of the classic cheese fondue for 5, which is $58. The waitress brought out the pot with a relatively small amount of fondue for the size of our group. For reference, a smaller piece of bread that was brought out with the fondue was only covered by half when fully placed in. I asked her if she could check and make sure our order was correct. She insisted it was and that it should be more than enough for four... even though we're a group of 5... Ok... As expected, we'd finished all of the fondue quickly since there was so little of it (and it was admittedly delicious). We asked her if we had to pay the full $58 for a second pot of fondue and she said yes. I again asked her if the amount of fondue was correct. She again insisted yes, and added that they overestimate for the serving size and it should've filled 6 people... yet all 5 of us were still hungry... After our group debated whether or not to buy a second pot or to leave, we gave her a third chance by asking her again if she could please check and ensure the amount we got was correct for $58. She again said yes. Since we were feeling ripped off, we asked for our checks. On our checks, she had very clearly put in an order of Classic Cheese Fondue for 3. FOR 3 PEOPLE. At least it was only about $38 total for the entire group. I generally don't even bother writing negative reviews, but wow, what a trip this was.
I'm not asking for this waitress to be fired, but talk some sense into her or at least teach her to count to 5. We'd clearly stated many times that we were a group of 5 and that we were willing and expecting to pay at least $58. Yet our checks/the order she put into the kitchen clearly said for 3 which totaled to be about $38 for the fondue. I would've only given a single star, but the food was absolutely delicious so it...
Read moreCute place. I was starving when I showed up. A hot summer day. Don’t come here if you’re slow to order or picky (that’s me on both). You will be rushed through the long menu with very limited descriptions. You cannot modify most things. Hate onions or pickles? Too bad. I was told it would be super easy to take the onions off, no problem. I’m an adult, I can do that. I was trying to get a half salad/ half sandwich, but was rushed through the whole experience. He didn’t even give me a second to do that. So frustrating. Then instead of a half sandwich & half salad I had to come back a moment later to order my drink & full salad. He already took my partners card. Didn’t even offer if I’d like a drink. The salad was fast & good. The sandwich came out. The onions were diced into what I could describe as a slaw of other ingredients; you’d need tweezers to preform that surgery of “easily removing them”… thanks for the advice. I decided to just order a whole new sandwich. The cold ones you can customize more I guess (why didn’t you just tell me that when I said I wanted to customize even the slightest). What a nightmare. I spent $55 on what was supposed to be a small lunch; one full sandwich & one sandwich/salad combo plus a drink. Now my other half has lunch for tomorrow with my wasted $12 sandwich. Flavor was great, I must say. He said everything with a smile. He just didn’t listen though. No one wants to be rushed through like cattle. Can you please slow down next time? I won’t be coming back personally. Jake liked it though. He handed us a chocolate chip cookie for the mistakes & headaches. I don’t eat that either, but you didn’t ask did you. Look at my other reviews; I don’t complain like this. What a terrible...
Read moreI don't usually post reviews, but my experience yesterday left me hurt, and I have to speak my mind. Around noon, a couple friends and I went to Bread Company for lunch. We wait around outside, and there are a couple guys nearby ordering at a window. We think, maybe we can be served inside too? When we get inside, a guy tells us, "I can serve you at the window outside, please come around to the service window." Ok, no problem, we go back out. We wait behind the two guys being served, and as we're waiting a large group arrives and waits to the left of the window (we are waiting opposite, behind the guys who are still being served). We step up to give our order, and the same guy who told us to come around says, "Hey, you have to go to the back of the line." I'm appalled cause he just told us to come around, and is now making us go after the large group we were in front of! After a long back and forth, he finally realizes we were there before the large group. But why not just ask us in the first place? Then, before taking our order he asks, "If you were already here, why did you come inside?" in a super critical tone. All I wanted was to order a sandwich, didn't know where to do it so we mistakenly went inside, and now he's criticizing us for an honest mistake. I was in tears as we ate our lunch, it was that humiliating. I will not return to...
