Both Dupage river and I & M canal run thru the same area and, and has a lot of foot traffic around the park and I & M canal trail. There are fishing opportunities for all types of fish including Bass, Rock Bass, bluegills, catfish, freshwater drum, gar etc. Fishing from the bridge on top of the dam/spillway is amazing, just watch out for snags. Rocks around the park also have a lot of snakes, as far as I know they are harmless but still take precaution.
