It was really awesome! It was free. No lineup. And the guy that was sitting at the front entrance, the host, I believe his name was Bob… What a gentleman. You know, he's probably volunteering too, and I'm glad he is. We need more human beings like that in this world. So generous, educational, Want the whole 9 yards. Especially with me visiting from far away, he really helped. They did not just fancy Michael Jordan, it was a lot of history on North Carolina. It was really amazing to see the videos, and the six minute intro video on the history of basketball at North Carolina. The coaches, the family, the legends that went into the NBA, and even students and alumni that are still connected. I grew up in Canada, then joined the military, didn't really do the whole university thing at first… But if I can go back and do it, I definitely look into going into North Carolina. Read moreYou can't get any better than UNC basketball, and this is a GREAT place to see it. Would have only been better if we'd been able to tour the Dean Dome as well (they don't do that anymore). My personal favorite was Dean's recruiting letter to Michael Jordan and Duke's follow-up letter to MJ that appeared to be full of tear drop stains as they acknowledge the GOAT had truly chosen the best. 👣 😉 My son's favorite was being able to see the distance on a b-ball court where those do or die shots took place. Dean's locker is there as well as uniforms, rings, warm-up outfits, trophies, etc. are all there. The museum visit is free. Parking could potentially be an issue, and you do have to pay for it. We parked in the lot across the road. Don't risk getting a ticket as they are super expensive. Took us about an hour or so...
Read moreAs a Michael Jordan fan this was a must on places I wanted to visit. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. There was some renovation going on when I went which made it somewhat difficult to get to but absolutely worth it. I visited when on vacation with my dad and little sister and in spite of my sister's scepticism she said she enjoyed it. It was free to visit and they usually do group tours so if it's only a few in your group you may have to wait for others to come along. They showed a video at the beginning highlighting some of the history of UNC Basketball which was great and then they let you walk around and enjoy the exhibits. The overall...
