I love Duke, but I’ll give credit where credit is due. Respect to the UNC marching band and their passionate and dedicated students. Balancing band and academics is a challenging juggle that whittles away both your time and energy. Performing in the hot and humid climate that defines North Carolina is an arduous trial by fire that not everyone can handle. However, year by year, undeterred by this demanding commitment, passionate students come together to show their pride for their university and the wider Chapel Hill community. That’s something I can respect.

For a UNC/Duke matchup, hard to beat Kenan stadium! Big seating area, and very different than, say, Cameron Stadium at Duke. But the collegiality is no less powerful. In fact, maybe more so, because, in contrast to Duke, seats at UNC’s Kenan are not limited only to those who have camped out for days or paid massive prices for season tickets. Always meet passionate alumni no matter where I sit. Major plus is the UNC devotes are intense, but not jerks even to Duke fans—can’t say I’ve felt the same “healthy competition” from Duke fans in Cameron :)

First time was this weekend for a graduation. Absolutely NO food was available on campus. Even the only open restaurant, Bojangles ran out of food. Seems no people thought to open food concessions for the thousands of people coming. The bathrooms were clean earlier, but no one was working later, so they were a mess. Dirty grounds, chaos with parking. Loud helicopters and drones overhead. Bad sound system. Just laughable, the conditions at a famous landmark...next time, UNC, get food trucks! If you don't want concessions, then get food trucks!

AWFUL EXPERIENCE I recently attended the Mexico vs Turkey game that was held on 6.10.2025 and everything about this stadium was horrible. We arrived to our prepaid (reserved) parking deck ( Rams Head) at 7:30 which was an hour before the entrance at 8:30 and were told that they were full. I let the man at the gate know that we had a ticket for the parking deck and he said and I quote “that not my problem your going to have to find somewhere else to park” I told him that what was the point of getting a prepaid parking pass to be denied entrance at the deck and he said “look I don’t get paid enough for this go down the road and try another deck” this obviously made me very mad and as I started to leave I stoped and asked groups of people leaving the rams head deck if they prepaid or payed when they arrived. 4 different groups said they paid 50 dollars when they arrived to get in. To my knowledge Unc stadium is a cashless stadium and offers reserved parking that must be bought ahead of the game day, so I ask why they would allow this to happen and why people that prepaid were told to kick rocks. I went down the road and found another deck and was told “your ticket is for rams head deck your going to have to go to the one” I told this man that I was just told they were full and he was nice enough to call and give me the address to yet another deck that would allow me to enter even with the ticket to another deck. I have a fractured knee and picked this specific parking deck due to my current condition and ended up having to walk 3 times the distance at the deck I had to park at. When we arrived at the game our seats had been changed and about 1/2 way through the game as we were cheering I was told that we couldn’t cheer loudly and had to stay seated by a member of security that then continued to stare at us and let an officer know that we were loud to which the officer told him it’s just a game they are ok. (THANK YOU TO THAT OFFICER). So many things were horrible this today I will not be returning. Don’t waste your money at this stadium just to have things taken away and be targeted during what should have...

I love it here. The staff, coordinators, security, etc. are always helpful and kind. The capacity has been reduced but the seats have improved drastically. It is much more comfortable sitting and leg room is better. The game we attended began at 3pm and ended around 6pm. The lighting was great as well as all of the entertaining activities. Activities began with victory walk and performances by the band and prior to the game there was a fly over (awesome). During the game several veterans were recognized along with their families and the sacrifices they made and are making. We were entertained by the band and the dance team. What a great time! Kenan memorial stadium is a great place to catch a game and the pregame activities make for wonderful...

Parking can be a bit of a hassle, but if you go to southern village in or university mall or a few other places, you can park and ride to the stadium and back for like $5. Other than that, it is one of the nicer stadiums and the view is really nice with the woods and bell tower in the background. It's nice that it is non smoking, however I have seen a few people (mainly visitors) disobeying that rule in front of staff. Also, there is no alcohol, which is nice because there aren't going to be that many cases of people getting too rowdy, however, it is a slight con because sometimes you'd like to forget some of the awful games you'll see from time to time. Overall it's a great stadium and most of the fans are...
