This was by far one of the best personal services of any type of salon I have ever been to and recieved! (nails, skin, and massage included in that personal service list, this place washed them all out other than one stylist who is back in my home town that i love and miss but rarely if ever see anymore) The environment and stylist are welcoming, explanatory, kind, personable, fun, exciting, and highly skilled and professional. The owner, Sara Havas, was polite, communicative, and very kind and helpful about information and opinions for what i was looking for (a wolf cut and long mullet blend) and suggested Sarah Harrod, and she was exactly right!! Thank you!! Meeting and sitting down with Sarah at my appointment, one I haven't had in years, instantly had me feeling safe and excited about a fairly big change in hair style that I was finally making, which i had been anxiously nervous to commit to. She walked me through the process and baby stepped my hair cut through subtle face framing and minimal layering, to us deciding together that since I was loving what was happening to continue layering and make it more bold and alternative, what I truly wanted instead of playing it safe like I usually do. She was able to make me feel comfortable and confident in not only her skills and the process but seeing the change gradually and both of us responding to "oh yeah, that's definitely it" and it being such a fun style I felt more confident in me wearing my hair totally new and different. It was the most wonderful experience to have that much energy, patience and the delicate ability to help while encouraging and explaining my change with the safety net of moving slowly, til we reached a final last layering and finished up with the styling. I was astounded by how well my hair type was able to handle this style, (fine and getting thinner than it ever has been) especially compared to me never thinking i could have this look and it go well, but it went great! Sarah did all the work, but I felt every step and decision was mine and that also made a huge difference. I made a great choice, and her abilities as a professionally hospitable stylist and a skilled hair transformer made it absolutely magical! I could not stop smiling and touching my hair!! I will absolutely be returning here and would highly recommend this business to others. 5* is the option on Google, but if I could give 10** I most certainly would! Thank you Head Space for bringing new life to my hair, and also so much joy and confidence to myself not only from the results but the wonderful environment and people there, and especially Sarah Harrod for the amazing time and result achieved during my appointment. I change my hair a lot (cut and color), get bored easily and love edgy, alternative, funky styles. I hadn't been able to find a stylist who really clicked, though, so i did a lot of searching across the internet and reddit and saw Headspace mentioned repeatedly. I read all of the staff bio's and one really resonated, so i made an appointment. Kiki was an absolute delight, the salon is cozy and fun, and the overall experience was terrific.

Of course, while the environment is important, the most important part is the cut and style and Kiki knocked it out of the park! I showed her several pictures to give a sense of what I wanted, she asked questions about my routine and products, then started working her magic. While styling, she explained what she was doing and how to replicate and checked in throughout to be sure I was satisfied and comfortable.

It's incredibly rare (for me) to walk out of the salon with a finished style i like - even when the cut is perfect - I invariably want to go home, rinse and restyle. For the first time in YEARS, I walked out feeling like myself with a hairstyle that was exactly what I would have done myself (except much, much better). I have been thrilled with my cut from the start and look forward to seeing what Kiki does with my next...

They might label it as a haircut but it’s miracle work in disguise. (Before and after pics) I usually get a haircut every 3-6 years because it takes a while to build up courage from someone not knowing how to work with long thickk hair and it turns out bad lol. But i’m so glad i took this chance, and landed in Kiki’s chair! As soon as I sat down without prompt she said she wasn’t intimidated and she gets my kinda hair. She absolutely MEANT it too! She gave me above and beyond my inspo pics, stopped along the way asking for any changes i’d like made (which is amazing and breaks down that anxiety barrier) I have never sat in a chair in a salon and felt so welcomed, the whole atmosphere and vibe in there is amazing, everyone is so nice and can we have a moment to appreciate the decor?? 💞.
