Closest trail to hike and Mtn bike with forest near downtown, basically in downtown. Do not recommend going right after a big rain unless you don’t care about mud on your shoes etc. It has a beautiful overlook not too far from the Spears Ave. trailhead. It is very hilly so if you are out of shape may want to take it slow and bring some water! They have markings for which way bikers and hikers are supposed to face depending on the days of the week. Definitely a trail to stay alert on cause of the different activities, hills, and lots of tree roots, so watch your steps! Has a wonderful downtown overlook that is a short 10 minute hiked on main paved trail. Please note it is uneven paved. Gets extremely muddy after hard rains.
