Elkins Estate Wedding & Event Venue — Attraction in Cheltenham Township

I stayed here for a weekend wedding. It is a beautiful property and building. I was not very impressed by the staff services and how they handled things. I spent a lot of money staying here for the weekend and the service was very off. When arriving on the property there was no doorman to help open the heavy doors to the estate. When entering the building there was no one to greet us. There were bottles of wine and cups at the front entrance table but we were confused if we could drink any upon arrival because no one was there to tell us otherwise. When checking in we asked for an extra cot in our room because there were a total of 3 of us staying in one room. They told us that a cot would be an additional $60 which I find ridiculous since we are already paid a crazy amount for the room. Then the staff only gave us 1 key for our room and refused to give us an additional key even though we requested one because we had 3 people staying in 1 room and 1 key was not enough for 3 people with different schedules during our stay. The rehearsal dinner was in the music room which was beautiful. When all the guests arrived and sat for dinner we waited at least an hour for just the salad to come out and we were all starving by then. The waiters and bartenders were very polite and professional. The next day we were told breakfast would be served at 8am sharp at the bridal suite. Breakfast didn’t arrive until maybe 8:30am and was a plate with a few doughnuts and 3 bagels for a group of 10 of us. We had to request water and napkins to have with our breakfast. Lunch came on time and was pretty good sandwiches. We were also given a plate full of bagged chips with lunch and most of the chips were stale and had holes in the chip bags so we gave the chips back and requested new. We were also given a tour of the estate and that was pretty cool but our tour guide kept telling us she was unsure 100% of the facts about the estate were entirely true that she told us and also kept asking if we knew any facts about the estate that she could add to the tour like we were supposed to do research before even though that was why we were taking the tour. It was very odd. Again it was a beautiful stay but I was not impressed by the services that were provided for us...

We just held our NYE wedding at the Elkins Estate. This was only the second venue we had toured but we immediately canceled the rest we had booked because we knew nothing would compare. This was the best decision we made for our wedding - the day was absolutely flawless! Our wedding day was straight out of a dream.

The property is incredible and maintained impeccably. There are so many stunning spaces both inside and outside of the manor for photos, and since there is only one wedding on site, you have free range of the entire building. We had always planned on having our ceremony in the music room, but we were a little concerned that it may feel a little cramped for our guest count of 150. The set up was perfect - intimate but not overcrowded!

We had a variety of guests in attendance with very different dietary needs and preferences, but all of our guests raved about the food! From cocktail hour through dessert, the food was incredible and there was plenty of it! We were given many options to choose from during the tasting, and we were able to make modifications to dishes to make them better suited to our taste. The pasta bar during cocktail hour was also a huge hit!

From day one, Ed & Amy were friendly, knowledgeable, and encouraging in all communication (from touring to emails and everything in between). Ed & Devon were incredible answering my many questions and handling all of my last minute changes, and not one small detail was forgotten day of! My bridal attendant Janelle was attentive and sweet as could be, and she had everything I could have needed with her in her bag (which saved us multiple times from running late). Devon & Eric ran our dinner service perfectly and completely eased any worry I had about dinner feeling too long. I was not stressed for even a minute at any point during planning or the day of because I knew their team had everything under control!

If I could redo my wedding planning all over again, I would choose Elkins Estate again in a heartbeat! Thank you all for the best day...

I can’t say enough about this venue and the staff. We had my daughter’s wedding here on New Year’s Eve 2024, and there isn’t one thing I would change. It was perfect from initial booking all the way through to the extended bar at midnight over a year later.

We booked the Elkins Estate Elstowe Manor in Sept. 2023 while it was under renovation. It was majestic even then and knew it was going to be the perfect setting. We then received the kindest and most personalized care from Amy, Ed, and Devon. They were honest, pleasant and funny, which put us at ease every time we spoke. We now had the perfect venue and the perfect coordinators.

We did our tasting and it was literally like we had just eaten Thanksgiving dinner. The food was incredible and never ending from cocktail hour (never seen anything like this!) to dinner to desserts. Exactly what guests want at a wedding! Now we had the perfect food.

There is a large and well-lit room for Hair/Make up, the historic rooms are breathtaking with modern bathrooms, the guest overnight rooms clean and modern. Valet parking. The lovely buffet breakfast in the morning was the cherry on top.

I am so proud to have hosted our event at Elstowe Manor. This place sets the bar so high there isn't another venue that comes close for a formal wedding or black tie affair. My daughter and son-in-law had the best time and are still on Cloud 9. Our family and friends continue to rave about it.

It is 100% worth the price. We worried about nothing from start to finish and Ed was there the entire night supervising. The bartenders and servers were fun and fast, food amazing, the room check in easy, a sweet breakfast - not one hitch. They were dedicated to making the night the best it could be.
