My first time coming to this temple on a Sunday. I read some reviews before I came here so I know what to expect. From my route, the gps told me to exit right turn and make a U turn. When I turned right that was when I saw the temple was directly across the exit. Next time I will just drive straight from Hwy 142 instead making a right turn.
I was excited to try their food and explore the temple when I parked. Just drive all the way to the back and park. Plenty of parking.
When my friends and I went up to the token stall there was a sign saying members only for token. We were upset like omg we drive all the way and can't get tokens unless you're a member.
But don't just assume, we were upset because we about to turn back. We asked anyway and got our token. Yes you need to be a member which is free, and since they don't have the form, the nice man let us in anyway :)
I started out with $10 token but you will need more than that. By the end of the day our total was $40.
I came for the papaya salad and the pad see ew. We Waited for some good long time for the pad see ew...waiting for the lady to take our order. Well it doesn't work that way. If a customer doesn't told us we'd probably waited forever haha. Basically, you check mark your order down on a paper that they put in the box and handed it in with $5 token and just go sit down and wait and wait lol. For a good 15 mins I decided to check on my order to see if he has gotten to it and also so he know you've been waiting. I got my order within 30 mins.
The other food were quick to make. Pad See Ew was the longest to wait. There were singers on stage who announced they perform every Sunday and leave by 2pm.
I will come back to relax, to eat, to listen to music, and the traditional Thai music. Near the mountain view making it very peaceful and nice. Out of nowhere there was a small hut for the Father of this country. Native American Hut in the back of the parking lot. It shows respect and gratitude that the temple also pray and worship to the real owner of this country.
UPDATE: My birthday was on Oct. 19th and I went on Sunday 10/18/20 for some future praying and good luck. I got my reading and I love it! Hope it came true! #19.
Update 4/2022 Took a friend there to get the reading, I got another also. Again, I got #19.
UPDATE 4/2021: I carry my reading with me as good luck and I've been given many opportunities that I can't refused. I never really believe in faith or destiny but now I do.
I LOVE MY READING!! If I follow these opportunities, my hardship will be over. The missing cousins it referring to are people who are trying to give me opportunities. I do feel it, the older I get, the better life I...
Read moreUnique place to try Thai food on a budget and learn about Thai culture and religion. Of course I came for the food. Outdoor market is only open on Sundays. You have to purchase tokens, cash only ($1.00, $3.00, $5.00, $10.00 increments) to buy the food. I suggest using all the tokens on the same day because most likely they will be misplaced for future use. Authentic street vendor style Thai food. Only 5.00$ for a bowl of Thailand's beloved soup Tom Yum Goong. A clear broth version of hot and sour soup made with lemongrass (onion family) and tamarind. Tangy tasting fruit that's used for culinary as well as medicinal purposes. Lots of noodle dishes. Lots of southeast Asian aromatics and herbs in this low calorie soup. Beware it's very SPICY!!! For the beverages I ordered a pink dessert drink. It was extremely sweet. The Thai ice tea is also very sweet. No menus so I didn't really know what was in my...
Read moreIt's fun coming here in a Sunday morning to enjoy the Asian food market feeling. There are a variety of food, like noodle soup, fried noodles, grilled meats, desserts and more. If you are asking about the taste, I have to say the average taste of the food is good but you might find other restaurants serving better taste. However, this place brings me back my memories when I visit the Asian countries. The portion is not huge, so you get to try many different dishes. My friend and I ordered pad Thai, grilled chicken (2 pieces), papaya salad, mango sticky rice and 2 Thai tea for $30. Price is pretty reasonable. The pad Thai booth takes forever because there is only one cook. The taste is really good though. It has the "wok-hay" taste which requires big flame in a cast iron wok. If you want to try pad Thai, the trick is you'll have to come super early...
